Great beginner camera

Highly recommend for someone starting photography or videography. Has a lot of features to play around with. I would say the only flaw is batter runs out fast so keep extras on you or charger!!

Figured it could be a great way for her capture moments of the family instead of always using a cell phone. This camera has been all I expected/wanted plus some. Easy to use and very compact so able to carry with you on a daily basis if wanted.

Best Sony mirrorless camera

Easy to use and we can find a lot of helpful online videos to get accustomed with all camera features. Eye tracking and other features are helpful. Flip screen is useful for taking selfies. Kit lens 18-135 mm provided is light weight and covers a wide range of focal length. Kit lens is enough for most of the scenarios to take photos.

Pictures are clear. I am new to sony after many years using canon. Its definitely more complicated . Canon seemed more user friendly. I am slowly learning all features of this camera. I wanted a lighter more portable camera and this is that.

Great camera but...

This camera is packed with latest tech. But... Battery is its weakness. Without battery grip offered by sony, battery life remains as its weakness. And as a sony camera, it has its usual annoying non-touch menu system. Other than that, it's a great value for the money.

I have only owned large DSLR Minolta and Sony products for the last 30 years. So, it takes some getting used to with this much smaller APSC camera, but the downsize in weight is a welcome change. The A6400 is feature rich and you can start using it right out of the box on Auto or you can use dive into more professional settings. I highly endorse this camera and have not regretted buying it once.

Amazing All around camera

I returned my A7II for this camera and have no regrets. The autofocus is incredibly fast, the camera itself is amazingly light, and the included kit lens is shockingly good. I use this camera for everything ranging from Macro to landscape photography, fast paced action shots of my dogs and portraits of my family. The auto eye focus on both humans and animals is incredible.

Great mirrorless fun

Pictures have been a great quality while the portability has been very appreciated. Even though this is my first time using a Sony camera the UI has felt very intuitive. In the end this has been a very good transition from the DSLR I used previously.

Good beginner camera
