DXO mark rates the sensor in this camera higher than its successors. Dont be fooled by the resolution of the sensor either. The a7RiIII is the best value in the R series family. - Tbfotography

There is a lot to learn with this guy but even I can an amazing photo with it. Build quality is great and while there are a myriad of setting you really can get going right out of the box.

This is even more true as they continue to produce their AR seven series for photographers. The three was the perfect upgrade as I didn’t need the extra megapixels of the four, but valued some of the additional benefits of the touchscreen, and the auto focus. It’s still not perfect for auto focusing at night, but I have yet to find a camera that really Does. I highly recommend this for those looking to take professional photos.

Great fast AF camera

I ended up to upgrade to a7riv because of the eye af with video. But it will be still great camera if you don’t take professional videos.
