Great price at the usual Sony picture quality.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, this is your best bang for the buck. Excellent picture quality on a DLSR/SLT for less than $500. As usual with Sony SLT cameras, video is excellent and the fast auto focus shines. For music performances, I added a Zoom H1 and it was perfect for a superior sound as the Alpha 58 has a mic input.

Great gift camera

The camera is great and I have always Sony's. This was the first SLR that I have ever purchased and it was very to get familiar with. The auto focus is extremely fast and sharp.

Great cam beginner or pro
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Not a camera pro by any means, but this is a MINOLTA camera. That's enough said. I'm a regular Joe that's makes records and had record deals so quality is job 1. This camera would get signed by a major label if it were music..lol. I have kids and now I'm gonna do all my own family shots. Minolta invented auto focus and Sony bought minolta and my old minolta lens makes better pics than the lens that came with the camera! Whew! Stop thinking canon nikon..All are good in good hands..just like a great Microphone won't make you a good singer...but auto tune and good autofocus will help clean up your mess..don't listen to me or others about which brand is the best. Pick it up, test it out and the right one will choose you. Me and Minolta make a good duo..I mean Sony.
