I bout the Sony Live View Remote to go with my Sony Action Camera I purchased for my honeymoon. My wife and I went to the Turks and Caicos and I knew there would be many opportunities to capture some good action video. The camera and this Live View Remote did not disappoint. The Live View Remote is definitely a must have as the Action Camera doesn't have a viewfinder or a screen to watch as you record. The remote connects in no time to the camera, has a long battery life, and makes it easy to see what you are recording with the Sony Action Camera. You will also experience no lag as the connection works flawlessly.

Having the live view remote changes everything about using the Sony action cam. Obviously, being able to see what you're shooting makes quite a difference. You could use the free app instead, But I find the live remote to be much easier to use and a lot less hassle than having to use an app on the phone. Also, there are more buttons on the remote than there are on the actual camera, which makes navigating menus and options much more efficient.

works much better than the mobile app which was horrible. the controls are easy to use and it is very visible outdoors.

Purchased the Sony Cam with the wrist remote as a gift for my son. He absolutely loves the function of the wrist control and says it is a fantastic feature that Go-Pro does not offer.

This thing is awesome. It connects up to about 40 to 50 ft away and it is extremely helpful to be able to see the live feed to set up shots and framing. The battery life is on par with the camera if not a bit longer which was my main concern. I got this Remote open box at my local Best Buy and it has been just fantastic

I obtained the Sony LVR2 remote in a package deal with the Sony AS200V HD camera..I put it to good use while using the AS200 mounted to my motorcycle helmet. It was great to be able to see the camera's point-of-view after getting on the bike; it was also great to be able to start/stop recording while riding. The only negative was the life of the built-in battery; the manual cited approx 4 hrs. of time with the built-in battery. I got closer to 2, then 2.5 hrs; however I only had about 3 cycles of charging on the battery; it was getting better each time I used it. I would have preferred a removable battery, but on the other hand I saw negative reviews of the older-style LVR1 remote, (which supposedly used a large diameter coin-style disposable battery) in which users complained of short battery life and having to replace the pricey battery repeatedly..so perhaps having the built-in battery (which I suspect is larger since it is built-in) of the LVR2 is an improvement.

Because the camera unit is so small, this is a great accessory and pairs easily so you can see or check your camera view/angle to ensure your caturing the shot you are wanting.

Convenient for using as a viewfinder and for playback. A little bulky. I find its best to wear with the screen on the inside of your arm.

I have it to control 2 camet mounted on my road bike one in front and one facing backwards to record my rides and in case of a driver that has road rage. Modified cameras to use RC car lipo batteries. Can record for 7-10 hours straight

A little bit bulky, at some point not so easy to connect to the camera.

Last July 2016, I saw AS200 with Live View Remote online. I decided to buy AS200. Live View Remote came with AS200. It is good deal price! My camera is AS20. It is old. I don't have live view remote. I am glad. I got it.

Essential to use with the Sony action cams. Allows you to see what your recording while on the move without having to look at the side of the camera.

This is an item that you really need to have with your Sony Action Camera. You should buy this when you get your camera if you can.
