Very good program for combining multiple video clips into a seamless video image ready for writing to DVD. You can make your life easier by ensuring all clips are the same, supported format. Only issues I had, is when I tried to combine non-Sony supported formats. Loss of one star for not supporting a very common format, because it was another major company's standard. Works very well for adjusting clips sound, color, lighting, etc., so you have a better flow from clip to clip.

I was a pinnacle user for the last decade but have also used a couple of other programs here and there. I recently had to reboot my computer after Win8 crashed(again) beyond repair and I decided to reload Win7. I couldn't find the disks for my Pinnacle 12 Studio Ultimate but found this program at Best Buy, and then they online price matched it too, I paid under $30 for it. We used it to make slide shows to music for my wife's grandmother's funeral, although the program took a day or two to get used to, it did the job very well. There are better programs, but you will pay much more for them, unless you have very professional needs for very serious video editing, then this is a great program for an inexpensive price.

I love this tablet. it picked up all my laptop windows apps without a hitch, connected to my Wi-Fi without a problem. The keyboard is not exciting, but certainly sufficient. I would have liked more memory, but am using a USB to offload recovery to gain more storage. The ordering process was easy and delivery rapid.,

I messed up initially by not noticing that it required Windows 7 or 8. I still have Vista. Fortunately, I could install it on my wife's laptop. I wanted it to trim the beginnings and ends of old super 8 movies which I had converted to digital files by taking movies of projected super 8 movies. The cheap way to do things I admit, but it works. Studio 13 actually made quick easy work of editing the converted movies. I could even set a marker at the start of each super 8 clip with the intent of having chapter markers. Unfortunately, I have not discovered a way to actually burn the DVD with this software. I can convert the movie to MPEG4 format to burn with another program, but all the chapter markers disappear and I get one long movie. I may discover the burning ability later, but I think that if it is indeed lacking, this is a big drawback to this software. I would recommend it with that caveat.

Program has many different options available for editing purposes. I did find it a little more complicated to use than the box leads you to believe. Just have to watch carefully.

I'm a big fan of Sony products and I have a Sony handheld camera and I figured that it would match well with Movie Studio 13 and it does compliment well with it. I haven't had much experience with experimenting with the bells and whistles Its pretty easy to use with cutting the footage together and making the full movie. So I'll be sticking with Move Studio 13.

You don't have the exact same Functions in this as you do the platinum version or Vegas. However you can get the almost all the same results you just have to go about things different , it does offer a wide range of Fx and transitions and you can get done pretty much whatever you need especially for a decent home movie or YouTube video. Also they offer you cheaper upgrades to platinum and Vegas if your getting started and have some learning to do it will work especially for 30 dollars you'll spend 15 to 20 a month for premiere . So you get a lot of value for your dollar with this software

For a first editing software, this is perfect. It's very basic but does exactly what I need it to do without difficulty. Small learning curve as the tutorial is very brief and does not go over all the features. I had to do some playing with it but after about 3 video edits, I've got it doing exactly what I wanted. Great for a beginner. Only negative is that there doesn't really seem to be a manual to explain what each feature does and how to use it to it's max but you can definitely figure out the basics. Can't beat the price, especially when you consider other video editing software cost hundreds.......

its a good pick to add extras to a computer for home video editing

I purchased this product because it has chroma key and many other special fx. you can also add your own plug-ins. fairly user friendly a good product overall.

We bought the software before checking compatibility requirements. Our PC is older, so it didn't work well. So we actually have never used the software. Learning experience for us.

Love it was thrilled I finally found something like the Windows Movie maker from the Vista version of Microsoft operating system. I missed the options that they took away on newer Microsoft versions, Thank You Sony for the great program!

Makes nice slide shows..BUT you will need other software to make DVDs that can be played on DVD players.....
