Our laptop was getting pretty hot. So we got this and it stays relatively cool. My one complaint is that there isn't a setting on the fans to up or down the speed. But the cooler works and is worth getting if you are on a budget.

Had been considering something like this for some time and decide to go with this one when it became featured as part of that day's daily deal. Works great with my 17" Macbook Pro which has a tendency to run a bit hot and extended lap use can become a little uncomfortable. Beveled bottom edge supports the MBP at each of the adjustable angles and the additional 4 usb 2.0 ports are and added bonus. The only drawback that I've experienced with this item is that when it's first powered on it annoyingly loud but pleased that initial annoyance is soon after replaced by almost 'whisper' quiet operation.... Great overall performance.

Item works as intended I wish they had larger fans in it but works properly the plastic isn’t my favorite but for the price is what you get worth the price for sure. The usb ports are nice just wish the plug was a 90 degree into the pc would allow for cleaner look

The pieces that move so the mat can remain erect are a cheap plastic. They get stuck every time I make an adjustment. I worry about them breaking, and then I’ll lose half the functionality of the mat.

It's the biggest one they had in store but its just barely to small. Also louder then I expected. If it was big enough then it would be 5 star. love the usb ports also. adds that many more things i can plug into my computer

Overall, the cooling pad is a good value for the money. I did have to tighten the fans within about 2-3 weeks. When the fans are tight, it blows out a lot of cool air.

This is my 3rd Targus Chill Mat. The double fans are a bonus and work well; however, after a period of time the fans begin to make noise. It progressively will get louder and more irritating. I threw the first one away thinking it was getting ready to blow up. I thought I had just got a lemon, so I purchased a second one. After a period of time it too starting the whine. I went to the Internet and found it was a common problem. Found one commenter who had a solution. On the bottom center of the fans there is a sticker. If you remove the sticker and spray WD40 on the fan mechanism, the noise disappears. Works like a charm. Good cooling but requires a bit of maintenance.

This is the 3rd one that I've bought! It definitely cools your laptop and the USB hub is awesome! However, they only last 3-6 months before they start getting LOUD. Thought it was just my laptop, so I tested the 2nd one on a newer computer...like clockwork, same thing. The reason I bought a 3rd was because the original broke during a move. Plus, I need the extra USBs! Will I be buying a 4th? Probably, BUT only if they create a Chill Mat+"S" version. S stands for silent. :)

Do you want to help extend the life of your laptop? If you do, then you definitely need to purchase this item. See, laptops get warm because they are super fast these days and the pack so much in them, they get hot! One of the ways that your laptop will combat the heat is to slow your CPU processor down so that the fans inside of your laptop can help dissipate the heat. Who wants to go through those slow down periods? I don't... Having a chill mat with fans blowing air onto your laptop will help to dissipate the heat helping you to keep your laptop running as fast, but it also helps to extend the life of your laptop. Things heat up, and eventually burn out... Helping your laptop keep the heat away will make for happy computing! Hope this helps... I recommend this one specifically because it also has a 4 port usb hub, and it has dual fans instead of only 1 fan... Keeps pulling the heat away from your laptop evenly over the bottom of it. Also, if you keep your laptop on a desk and you have an external mouse and keyboard, you can tilt this chill mat up so that it helps you keep your laptop monitor at eye level to help reduce muscle cramps and neck stress and such. As inexpensive as these are, go ahead and pick up a couple... i keep them on all my devices. I have one for my Apple Macbook Pro i7 and the other on my HP Envy laptop... Keeps them running strong!

The product works great and definitely kept my laptop cooler during long gaming sessions. No RGB is definitely a plus for me. I really like how it has adjustable tilt. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I had some extra fans lying around and wanted to replace the fans on the chill mat. I was unable to access them without damaging the product. Overall a great product for the price.

I bought this so that I could get a better angle for typing on my Dell laptop keyboard. It is adjustable to different angles. The plus is that it has the cooling system and 4 additional USB ports. Since the Chill mat uses one of my USB ports on the laptop, it is great that I still have 4 more on the chill mat itself. I love it!

I like it. Van works great and computer no longer overheats.

I love being able to set the angle of my keyboard. It provides better comfort for my wrists. The fans work well to keep my laptop running cool.

The fans are a bit loud but they definitely do the job. My MSI gaming laptop runs at least 10c cooler during demanding performance. That’s 30 degrees so it’s all good. Wish the hub was 3.0

I was looking for a cooling fan to keep my laptop from overheating. Not only does it keep my laptop cool, but it also has ports for plugging in other devices.

As impulse buys go, I've done worse. This one works as advertised; it's got two low voltage fans that keep my laptop cool. As luck would have it, the air circulation openings on my particular laptop line-up nicely with them. You might want to check to see if you will also experience this "happy little accident." Another neat idea: it's powered from a USB port on your computer, and while this might cause problems if you only have one or two, they've solved that by incorporating a USB hub, expanding the port it uses into 4! The only drawback here is that they're 2.0. That said, they should be sufficient for most memory sticks or plug-in USB accessories. It's also hard to beat the price. Overall, then, I'm happy with it.

Originally purchased the smaller Targus ChillMat which, despite package claims was too small for my 15.6" laptop. BB exchanged it without hassle and I paid the difference. My laptop hangs over each side about 1/4", but the grabby rubber strips on top of the mat secure it well enough. Expect a good bit of overhang if you have a 17" laptop. Noise level is moderate, but tolerable. It didn't solve all my overheating problems, but helped a good bit. Guess I'll have to open the case and replace the heatsink paste on the CPU cooler. If you're using the mat on your lap, the ridges on the bottom are slightly uncomfortable. Don't wear shorts or thin slacks.

Runs efficiently, keeps laptop very cool. Extra USB's are handy....however, the stand requires extra padding of some form if being used in your lap.

I'm not all gung-ho about the quality of this product because it's all hard plastic. As laptops tend to get very warm, almost hot, with extensive use, I wanted something like this to counter that issue - but, admittedly, I did not shop around for other options, and this was the first time I'd purchased something like this. It can be elevated to 3 different height settings, but the leveling knobs are small and plastic, so I expect to have to be extremely careful using this so I don't break it. When in an elevated position, the platform is a wee bit shaky, so I type with a much softer touch. It comes with a cord that plugs into a port on the laptop, and the computer then powers the fans to keep the laptop cool. There's a little noise from the fans, but not really disturbing. I am saying I would recommend this to a friend, only because I think this type of product is definitely worth having if one spends a lot of time working with a laptop. I would recommend shopping around more than I did tho, to see if there's something more sturdy.

I am very pleased with this purchase. Not only has this kept my laptop cooler in these last few days of near 100 degrees, I can raise and lower the laptop angle to make viewing the screen more comfortable and increase air flow. The additional USB ports are a life saver, too.
