I'm not into shooters, I LOVE my video games, but it was not really my thing. However, I picked this up to play with my boyfriend and MAN what a great game. I find myself just wondering around the city for hours finding collectibles and just building my skills and XP. If you want to read a GREAT unbiased article on this game, so to http://www.thatdemoguy.com it will tell you everything you need to know about this game. Ubisoft did good on this one!

How they created the pve to pvp really caught me by surprise. But as my summary said if your day one or even week one or 2 you gain the benefits of not having to grain or struggle in the game months after. For instance I max leveled in 2 days without even trying because there was no real level gap between me and my friends. But I had other friends that tooks until the first real patch to obtain the same lv because they got the game 2 weeks after the fact. In conclusion it's a decent MMO that doesn't have a steap learning curve unless you never played a shooter or a MMO then you may have issues.

This game is very well done. There are so many different missions and objectives you can do. This game has a lot to it, more than most games I've seen. Pro's: open-world, solo, co-op, and multiplayer, good story, realistic setting, you can never run out of things to do. The dark zone is fun, complex, and always has a challenge. Con's: the controls are horrible, ubisoft made x for crouch and o for jump which is the dumbest thing ever and you can't change it. The dark zone can be annoying when you get trolled by a group of Rouge agents and they attack you everytime and steal your stuff. Overall, this game is similar to Borderlands and Destiny. Definitely better than Destiny, it's not as boring and repetitive. Great game especially with friends as a team.

I have been playing The Division A LOT lately, after the servers were fixed the game runs very smoothly. The graphics are on point and there is actually a tangible story to the game. The only gripe I truly have is that the game is online all the time, so if the servers go down you cannot play the game solo. The game is best to be played co-op (5 players per party max). The dark zone is a challenging area with great rewards but just about as much frustration. In the end I gave the game a 7 out of 10.

I wasn't sure if I'd like it at first, but since it was from Tom Clancy, I decided I'd give it a shot. What's sad is that this isn't TC's comfort zone and it did what Elder Scrolls Online and Destiny wanted to accomplish. And it accomplished it well. The game seamlessly puts together campaign and PVP. You can play solo, with friends, strangers or a mix. Right before you start a mission, you can find other players and the difficulty will match the number of players in your group with the difficulty you picked (normal or hard). Don't be fooled. At first, it will seem easy, but later on, as you get better, the AI does as well. They aren't repetitive. The Dark Zone...watch out. It's like a mission, except it's hard+ as a default. Rogue agents mean exactly that. You can attack any other player except the ones in your party. If you do attack someone, you'll go rogue and possibly your whole group as well for limited amount of time. You will most likely be the focus of gunfire at that point, even if there are AI present as well. The game can be a little technical, when choosing weapons, gear and such but in the end you'll appreciate it because you can optimize your loadout. A big plus is your character can wear whatever he or she likes - it has nothing to do with your attributes - so you can actually have a matching outfit. The game is a bit brief, but I'm already decided on getting the season pass. Personally, this game did well in simply making the gameplay simple and non-clunky. Other players usually are well-mannered (unless you're in the DZ and they're hostile). The item pickup is customized for each player so there's no rushing to the item unless a player is killed in the DZ. All I can say is I don't regret the purchase.

Firstly, this is an online only game! I love Tom Clancy games and will admit I was a bit disappointed to hear The Division and Rainbow Six Siege were going to be online multiplayer focused, but man are they fun! I prefer single player experiences but this game does a better job IMO than other online focused games such as Destiny, to deliver a single player experience. The gameplay is addicting. The shooting, movement, and looting mechanics are all excellent and make this game a blast to play. I especially like that you can customize real world weapons and it can change the way a gun handles and damage output. The graphics are gorgeous and sound design is emersive. The environments are detailed and have a fantastic post viral outbreak look that really sells the idea of what NY would be like if something similar occurred. I absolutely love the Dark Zone portion of the game. In this zone, you can find high level loot but must extract it before you can use it. You'll encounter other players in this Zone and you/they can either help extract the loot gathered or attempt to steal it by killing one another. This creates extremely tense moments when you run into other players and aren't sure whether they are friendly or hostile.

This game has been receiving mixed reviews. To me it is mostly positive. The game is extremely fun, especially with a friend, but it can also take you out of the immersive experience. I mean this because all the enemies you fight are regular old humans. Humans don't normally take hundreds of bullets to be put down, but when you fight elites in this game they make you question how they can take 5 sniper headshots and still function. I guess this is something that Massive had in mind but hoped folks would ignore (because making a semi-realistic military shooter you cannot have aliens or robots) and for the most part I do. Yet there are times when I get taken out of the experience because of instances as mentioned before. Other than that, the game is a solid RPG/Third-Person Shooter. The story, in my opinion, is fantastic and playing through certain missions you come to feel passionately about your characters role in the world. I would definitely recommend picking up this game, it will definitely give you hours of fun, especially if you adhere to the $1/hour rule.

The Division is a great game to play. I don't usually play games that heavily depend on playing online, but the Division is different. Online play is all about cooperation (especially in early stages of the game), so you be able to join any random squad and play together. It's fun. Also, it is possible for most of the side missions to be played alone. I said possible, because most mission are difficult, and your changes of survival are much less when you're alone.

I purchased this for my father as a birthday gift for his PS4 system. I chose this for him only after I recently purchased the X-box One "The Division" game console. I am addicted to this game. I like first person shooter games and this one has great action, an intriguing story line, freedom to choose which missions you play on the game map and multiplayer at your discretion. It offers weapon and equipment upgrades via earned game credit purchase or via being awarded upon completing missions, defeating enemies and picking up their weapons & equipment or the occasional found equipment box in various places throughout virtual Manhattan. You must create an Ubisoft account to play because it's an online multiplayer game but you are not required to play with other players online as I prefer to play alone and this game allows it. You can ignore team up requests or if you like, accept or request others in safe houses and use the game's Matchmaking feature to be teamed with appropriately skilled players. I have hit level 27 of 30 at this point in sector missions and I am not done. I haven't yet explored the "Dark Zone" missions or the "Underground" missions. This game can just keep going and it was just recently updated so you know it will be kept fresh. I don't think you can be disappointed if you like 1st person shooters. By the way, did I mention that my father loves it and he is big on 1st person shooters as well.

At first I wasn't pleased with the clumsy controls and the graphics were disappointing but after playing it a bit longer than my initial try I liked it better. It's a duck and shoot game like so many others. Quite difficult to kill bad guys, Multiple shots needed. Must be wearing Kevlar under their hoodies. I like the missions where I can join other players to accomplish whatever goal is presented. Haven't gotten very far into it but it's enjoyable.

After reading several articles about The Division I came to the conclusion that this was a game I might be interested in. Previously the closest game that I played in this genre would be the Borderland' series, which I like a lot. So I played the beta and was hooked. Fast paced action, interesting story line and upgradability of mostly everything and I knew I had to buy it. This is a game for third-person shooter lovers.

I played the beta and I was skeptical as I am with most new games these days. I have had lots of fun even after hitting 30. The dark zone keeps you on your toes solo but is definitely more fun with a group of four. I waited on the pass but I definitely hooked now and am buying it. With all the games these days that they promise all the content and fixes I feel ubisoft has actually been proactive. My advice is get a couple friends and get in the action.

The Division is a solid game. Graphics are excellent, and the gameplay is smooth. Matchmaking works well, so you can take on missions either by yourself or with other people. Difficulty can be changed on missions, and they can be pretty hard, making a team viable to success. If they can keep the content flowing, the Division will be an excellent choice to have in your library.

    Early Server Issues Plague Greatness

I've been following this game since the 2013 E3 trailer where dreams and promise were broken since. Nevertheless, I was totally stoked when this game released. I protested and came home to a 2 hour 2GB day 1 update, which delayed my #Hype. When I actually got to play the game it was amazing. Single player is very fun, challenging, and pushed you to gain cover. Weeks later, I still enjoy playing this game. It's Ubisoft so their open world concept feels much like WatchDogs: lots to do, but most are copies of other side missions in different locations. Still, getting loot. Consumables, wing expandable points, and new weapons keeps you entertained and sort of motivates you to continue. However, there have been several times I've been kicked out by the server, or have had the server completely down for hours at a time which is super frustrating. Bottom line: This game is a fun shooter that brings my excitement back from the OG Modern Warfare game. If you like open world games and shooting, but this game.

    A Fun Time

The Division is a fun open world game with an interesting concept. Exploring a quarantined Manhattan around Christmas time after a virus outbreak felt very surreal. There are a few animals and NPCs wandering the streets; some of which may request an item from you, or are being harassed by the enemy gangs in the city, or just falling over and dying. They do a good job making this world feel alive in a bleak and desolate way. There is hundreds of collectible intel to find, such as phone recordings or echos, that give you small stories of both important and unimportant characters. After you reach level 30 you get access to the World Tier mode and there is daily and weekly orders to complete that give you more to do. You can also play the whole game by yourself or with a couple of friends including plenty of co-op and PVP things events and modes. There are a few smaller problems with the game. First off there is no button mapping so I couldn’t swap the X and O for the vault and cover controls which was backwards in my mind and took me almost half the game to adjust to. Character control itself was problematic for me once in awhile but that could just be collision problems too as I had troubles once in awhile getting around objects or trying to quickly move between cover manually. The hud is very annoying! You can turn it off but if you turn off your weapon/health bar hud it just gets replaced by a prompt to turn it back on. This wouldn’t be as annoying if it wasn’t placed in the middle of the screen! As with every Ubisoft game you get repetitive mission types. They might change slightly but mostly you are just doing the same few types of missions in different areas throughout the game. And finally, the game has no offline mode! It is online only and has server maintenance every week during the time that I play so I lose at least 1 day of play time every week. I would much appreciate an offline mode in future installments so that I can play even when Ubisoft servers are down. I spent over 50 hours playing The Division and enjoyed my time with it. I didn’t think I would enjoy the game as much as I did after my first experience with it when it came out but coming back, it has definitely improved. If you are someone who played it when it first came out and didn’t like it it might be worth giving it another chance. If you’ve never played The Division then I would recommend this to you if you like shooters with light RPG elements. 4 out of 5 stars
