I use the Ethernet Adapter on the extender to hardwire my desktop via ethernet. The Ethernet port on the extender is faster than the WiFi which is expected. The WiFi on my modem is faster than the WiFi on the extender so I do loose speed of about 2-300 mbps. Only flaw is that it splits your WiFi into a different SSID so it is kind of a pain making sure your device is connected to the correct network.

For optimal Wi-Fi coverage after installing the extender, we recommend relocating the unit to a position in your home where the router's Wi-Fi signal is sufficiently strong, yet far enough from the router to effectively extend its range. Please verify that the RE status LED indicates a solid connection.

Easy way to add additional WiFi 6 coverage to dead spots in your home. Mine is being used as an access point with Ethernet run to the other side and it works great. Nice management interface as well. As others have said, you just have to follow the instructions to a T. I had trouble initially but realized it needed to be right near the router for initial setup - then you can move it to its desired location afterwards.
