Spectrum more up to date no longer has that capability as their new equipment AI knows what devices uses 2.4 or 5 ghz therefore nit necessary to separate.

This sounds like you have a mesh system. Traditional routers, while they may have the ability to combine the SSIDs of the 2 bands into 1 single network, generally have the ability to split the networks in the settings. However, Mesh systems do not. If your Spectrum router supports EasyMesh, then adding the extender as an EasyMesh node will help solve your concern.

I still show week signals on a few of my Ring Cameras, but they work. Hadn't had any other issues. So far so good.

I was gonna hire an electrician to wire a coaxial outlet in my office but after buy this, I’m glad I didn’t. For $130 it’s definitely worth it.

Always a little hassle at the beginning with downloading an app and having to go through a set up process, but not a deal breaker.

What they do not tell you is that it is half-duplex—it either sends or receives but not both simultaneously. The result is that it cuts your extended internet speed by about 50%.

If you haven't noticed a significant improvement in Wi-Fi coverage after installing the extender, we recommend relocating the unit to a position within your home where the router's Wi-Fi signal is sufficiently strong; yet far enough from the router to effectively extend its range. Please verify the RE status LED is indicating a solid connection.
