Very good extender

This extender was very easy to set up using the app. The only reasons I don't give it 5 stars are: the antenna is not as strong as I'd hoped given the size of the device and I don't see a way to avoid using the "-ext" version of my basic WiFi network instead of just keeping the name the same. (I bought this one because my previous, smaller TP-Link intermittently started to give out after several years.)

Surprisingly easy to setup and easy directions to follow. Worked seemlessly with Spectrum wifi. Use your existing internet password when connecting.
It does have limited range unfortunately, and doesn’t boost the signal at all, just extends whatever limited quality of signal your modem provides where you’re able to setup the extender.

I live upstairs in a 2 story house and the router is situated in a Study/Office. I would experience lag all the time playing COD MW2 and it was infuriating.
I knew I didn’t have bad service so I thought it was the tv. I have an Amazon Fire tv and considered getting a monitor to stop the lag but I figured I’d truly a cheaper route first so I researched and all leads led me to this Tp-Link device.
I set it up. Somewhat easy set up. Then the next day I assigned the PS5 to the ext id and it worked like a charm. I get no more lag and my frame rate seems to match the game to the closest it ability. My kpg went from 15-23 to 30-60 in Shipment.
This device is as good as it’s advertised.

Installed in a third floor loft, it significantly improved connectivity and stopped buffering and dropped connections. Easy installation, automatically takes on the name of existing network.

I needed to extend my WiFi to the fron of my house to conect my arlo cameras, it was easy to connect and now i have WiFi to all the front of the house and inside of the house.

Overall, one of the easiest range extenders I’ve ever set up. It does occasionally get stuck updating firmware or gets disconnected from the WiFi and then doesn’t want to reconnect automatically. I’ve had to reset it due to this a couple of times. Works well as an access point too! The coverage is pretty good as well.

It's OK, but I have to reset it a lot, I bought it to extend the range to apartment laundry room, because of Wi-Fi payment.
It can get glitchy with dual band routers, so you need to set up 2 separate networks and be sure you connect with the right one or it is not set up to detect specific types of networks.
Depending on the setup of your Dual-Band Wi-Fi Network, using the Tether app can provide insightful information and flexible features to adjust the extended Wi-Fi network settings to accommodate your Wi-Fi needs.
For the best experience with your Wi-Fi Extender, we recommend ensuring its firmware is fully up to date using the steps outlined in FAQ 1406 on our official website: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/1406/
If you would like assistance with any of these steps, please reach out to our support team using any of the resources included with the product, or from our official website, and we'll gladly have a Support Agent follow up with you directly.

We bought this device to expand the internet signal coverage at my parents' house. The results have been excellent, and they now have a good signal in every area of the house. Highly recommended

I needed this to extend my wifi into the yard and this one got the best reviews. After fighting with the setup a little bit, I was able to get it configured. While it doesn't boost my in-house signal much, (in fact it slowed down a little) but it does a good job with my outside numbers shooting through metal siding. I did end up using the AP function via a powerline wireless connection to get the best results, but it's a nice little unit overall. You may get better results, because I was looking to do something specific which didn't really follow their setup guidelines.
