We purchased this for our RV hoping we would get better Wi-Fi reception in out 5th Wheel. It works Great! Without it we couldn’t connect to the Campground wi-fi service because of Poor reception. After plugging it in it jumped to excellent reception. This makes us Happy Campers!

After activating, it worked for one evening. The next day it didn’t work. I got help from Best Buy and found that my router was had a weak network. The extender was trying to create another Wi-Fi network in the dead zones. It was too much for them to keep this going. I upgraded my router and it worked! I returned the extender.

If you haven't noticed a significant improvement in Wi-Fi coverage after installing the extender, we recommend relocating the unit to a position within your home where the router's Wi-Fi signal is sufficiently strong; yet far enough from the router to effectively extend its range. Please verify the RE status LED is indicating a solid connection.
We also recommend ensuring the extender's firmware is fully up-to-date, using the steps outlined in FAQ 1406 on our official website: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/1406/
Additionally, one of the helpful features offered by the extender is its ability to copy, or "clone" your router's Wi-Fi SSID (name), so it appears as a single unified SSID, instead of a separate one.
