Customers are enthusiastic about the ease of use, sound quality, and Bluetooth capabilities of the DS6751-3 DECT 6.0 phone system. Many appreciate the range and battery life, along with the value for the price. However, some users found the intercom system and caller ID features to be less intuitive or lacking desired functionality. The display's readability was also a point of concern for a few customers.

This phone quit working after a short time and did not let me answer my cell phone as it is supposed to do. And I found it much too difficult to program in phone numbers. All in all it was a waste of my money

The phone is not worth what you pay for it. When you answer the phone there is like a 4 second delay before the person calling can hear you.

It is likely what you're experiencing is a network issue, rather than an issue with the DS6751-3, so contact your provider.

Great phones for price

Let me start off by saying I am a long time VTech consumer so I've used their products for several years and have always had decent satisfaction with their products as a whole.
As phones can be a pretty penny depending on the features you wanted I did a lot of comparisons to get the most handsets and features for the buck with still reputable brands such as Panasonic, AT&T, and Vtech to list the main ones off the top of my head. For the price vs features this is the phone to have. The closest I found to this was another VTech similar model # at a different retail store and they only had two handsets while this one had three.
The bluetooth feature is kind of cool. I never had a home phone before that had that feature included. I can make and receive calls for my cell and for my landline using the phone which I find awesome. I do wish you was able to use like bluetooth necklaces with this so you can talk wirelessly from your phone/cell though but this feature will not correspond with a third bluetooth as such sadly. That issue made it a 4.5/5 right there. I haven't found or read about a set yet which does this either so it seems to be a problem with all current sets.
The other item I wish to point out is that they should have hotkeys similar to speed dial of sorts to be able to use the settings. Example: You can tap settings/menu/select twice and it goes to play your voicemail messages. They could had double tapped redial or something or another button to transfer/intercom hotkey would be super useful and should be used as good company criticism. That brought it down to 4/5.
Overall though , these are decent quality phones that look nice and do the descripted job for a decent dollar. I would recommend these hones to my friends if asked.

Hate this phone, replacing it

Ironically, the major issue with this phone is the very reason I purchased it, the Connect to Cell feature. This feature works ALL the time, even when the cell phone is not within a certain distance of the Vtech phone. For example, when I am 17 miles away at work or 5 miles away at a store, if someone calls me on my cell phone, it also rings at home and it then becomes a race to answer my cell before someone at home answers the home phone. Also, some calls go directly to the Vtech phone without ringing on my cell phone so I have missed quite a few calls while out (and yes, my cell volume was up and the vibrate feature was on). There is no message waiting indicator on the phone, you have to pick it up and read the display, which is not lit and has a font that is small and difficult to read. My old phone had a red light message indicator that you could glance at from across the room, this feature does not work on this phone if you have a cable ISP. There is no call blocking feature, you must make six clicks/menu entries to reach the directory to make a call to a stored number and it is difficult to move between the stored numbers. The sound quality is acceptable but the other features are either too annoying or absent to warrant keeping this phone. Unfortunately I purchased the phone before I left for a trip and didn't get the phone set up or discover all its annoyances before the 30 day return period expired. I am now researching for its replacement.

Tracie - Your paired cell phone must be within Bluetooth range of the Connect-to-Cell base in order for the VTech to ring when someone calls you on your cell phone. Bluetooth range is approx.10 meters or 30 feet, rather than 5 or 17 miles. Thanks for your feedback.

LCD Screen Too Dim

The phones work as advertised, Blue Tooth paired easily with my iphone for directory transfer, call quality and range very good BUT the lcd display is virtually unreadable unless under a direct bright light. In dim light the blue back lighting actually makes it more difficult to read since the text blends into the back ground. These phones would be fine in an office environment with typically high light levels, at home pretty much useless.

Good replacement for our old phone however when listening to voicemail, messages quickly move to the next message without ample time to choose to delete or repeat messages.

CUTTING THE LAND-LINE CORD

I set-up this system to cut the land-line cord! I'm very, very happy with how well this is working. We are using two cell phones, no land-line connection and we are able to hear our cell phone calls all over the house. Since I downloaded the contacts from my cell phone - I know who is calling. You can see which cell phone is ringing, but the icon is not very big. Since we have very different ring tones on our cell phones which are also ringing, I did not ding for this. Tested all phones in different locations with cell phones near the base, very clear. I would think this would be an excellent solution to spotty cell reception by placing the base and cell phones in an area with good reception.

Just OK for casual use at best

I picked up this phone because of the price, but quickly returned it to the store for refund (after making a few test calls and comparing to my (older) Panasonic). The primary reason for the return was that the speakerphone mic is terrible: unless I was a foot or less away from it, the base wouldn't pick-up my voice (I literally had to face the base unit and lower my head towards it to pick up voice - completely useless if you intend to use it as a speakerphone while doing anything else). I tested my old phone from the same distance, same location, and callers reported hearing me just fine.
As far as the headset, though the sound was clear, callers sounded distant and a bit muffled. Overall, my older cordless sounded far better and picked up voice a lot better.
As far as battery life, I was surprised how quickly the headsets died without any use. A couple to a few days standby time at best.
Also, I found the packaging/picture and store display misleading. The pictures let you believe the phone has a vivid blue LCD - it doesn't. It's a mostly gray display that's at times hard to read. If you like the blue hue you see on the box/display, don't expect it in real life.

Small issues early on, now getting worse

I purchased the VTech - DS6751-3 Dect 6.0 Expandable Cordless Phone System in January of 2015. The phone worked well, but I noticed the digital answering machine sometimes cut words out of the message and sounded like a bad cell phone connection. (the people weren't on cell phones that left the message.). That problem is getting worse and now there are times that I place an outgoing call to a landline and the person on the other end can't hear me but I can hear them, I even try calling them back and they still can't hear me. If they call me back it works just fine- so frustrating!. I had my last cordless phone and answering machine, an AT&T, for 15 years. Other than occasionally replacing the battery I had no issues. I am very disappointed that this 18 month old phone is giving me such problems. Ugh...

I purchased this phone system thinking that maybe....just maybe... I could save a few bucks and still get a reliable system. Not the case. One year and one month later....DEAD IN THE WATER! Now all my business calls are being routed to my cell phone as I scramble looking for a replacement system. Not cool VTECH!!!
