It provided ample storage for my needs, was easy to use, and backup was fairly fast. So far, so good!

IT'S VERY GOOD BUT THE ONLY THING I CAN SAY THAT I DON'T LIKE IS THAT THE POWER INDICATOR IS NOT PRESENT NO MORE !! OVER ALL IT IS A GOOD PRODUCT.

Excellent hard drive,terrible remote service to get it installed

I have many WD drives, from portable to desktop. This one is no exception. Works easily out of the box and once plugged in, runs well. Bought for addition to the Nvidia Shield as the system does not work well with a portable drive that is not powered. Have an 8TB drive that was overkill on that system, and am able to switch between the drives as they have the same power supply. As always, solid product.

Perhaps the only problem with Western Digital is that high performance is their norm. Had more luck with WD hard drives over decades now than any other brand. Unit looks nice enough and operates fairly quietly. My only complaint is that somehow it always seems to go to 'sleep' after extended periods of inactivity. I've attempted adjusting various USB settings to no avail, and I'm sure the fault is somewhere in a setting I have. It would be nice to have a pretty straightforward 'don't go to sleep' option in config from the manufacturer though.

Easy to use and great amount of storage for the price

This is a great product that I highly recommend. I have an older all in one desktop and I was amazed at the transfer speed. Lightning fast. I have never had a problem accessing any file. I was so impressed that I purchased two more. One stays at the computer and the other two are hooked up to Sony blu-ray players. When it comes to storing media we only purchase WD because the product is reliable and file transfer is quick.

Easy setup and not too large so I can hide it behind a desk. The install was seamless.
