While it worked, it was great...and then, it stopped working. It acts like you need to put water in it, but it's full and it's cycling, and nothing. Hasn't worked for 3 months. what a waste.

I have only used this ice maker twice and already it doesnt work. i should be able to return it. it is still under warranty. how do i return it at no cost to me thank . jan

Machine performs as claimed. It works quietly, and regularly churns out ice every 15 minutes. Ice 'cubes' are shaped like little thimbles. Machine stops operating when basket is full or water is out. You must manually pour water into this machine. Melting ice is re-made into ice on a regular basis. The ice provides its' own "refrigeration.' Water left in the unit CAN grow moldy and stale. A full ice basket is just about enough ice to fill a large coffee mug. Combined with the production rate, this means the machine is just right for one person on a hot summer day. For the single person, this machine is a great supplement to a 'dorm' fridge.

My brother got this icemaker for me. I love it! Makes an incredible amount of ice! I turn it on when I get up and by time I’m finished with my breakfast it’s full. I can sit down with my iced coffee and relax or fix it and go. It stays full and Is there when I need it. It makes a little noise but not constantly, just when the prongs are moving and the ice is tumbling into the basket. I have two stand and stuff gallon bags full of ice in my freezer all the time in case of company. I was worried about the ice melting too easily but it’s just like refrigerator ice. I do use distilled water. At night I turn it off and it just melts back into the bin. The convenience is WONDERFUL! Thank you to my brother! I love it!

What a pleasant surprise the little gem has been. Although it's somewhat noisy, it cranks out more ice that a grown group of three people can keep up with. When it's full, it simply stops making ice until the top ice is removed. The ice is a little soft and bullet shaped with a hole in it, my favorite. The ice you leave in the unit does not stay frozen, but in my experience it doesn't melt either. It just sticks together somewhat and is easy to break apart. We couldn't be more pleased with our purchase. We also got the 5 year extended warranty plan, as it was so economical.

I bought a silver model over 3 years ago. After some early failures with other brands I also purchased the Geek Squad warranty. Since I bought this one with an extended warranty it has never failed. Figures. Lol

This machine was a waste of money. After about three cycles of creating ice cubes, the machine flashes the red ADD WATER light (even though there is plenty of water in the reservoir) and then cuts off. The machine then needs to be turned off and re-cycled. Usually after two or three attempts at this, you can get a couple of successful batches of ice and then it's time to start re-cycling it again. If you make the same mistake we made by purchasing this, then good luck.
