We have had few different smart locks but the Yale locks have by far been the best. I can use codes, finger prints, my phone, and watch to unlock it. It’s easy to share access to friends and family or even deny access. It pairs with my Alexa and ring products. Great product

This is my first experience using a smart door lock, and I like how it works. The only thing I'm a little unhappy about is the battery life, which is very short, and I have to replace them at least every week and a half. I've heard that there are other brands and the battery life is long, but I've already spent the money and I think I can survive with that.

Replaced my old nest Yale lock. This new assure lock is great. Fast and reliable. Only issue, but might be lots of traffic. 7 people using it daily. Battery- Bought it March and replaced it October. So 6 months not bad I guess with heavy usage. Overall great product and love the new lock.

This smart lock is great. I’ve had at least five or six and the biggest problem is when the battery dies. There’s no other option but to go through your garage or get locked out of your house. I love that this includes a key as a failsafe in case the battery dies, while the battery is working, though this thing is amazing. I’ve set it up right when I enter my driveway it opens up the door. It’ll close the door in five minutes. It also comes with the sensor but I didn’t set that up yet. This is the best I’ve had and I’m definitely gonna buy more when I need, maybe for my garage.

    Switched from Schlage

I’ve had two different models of Schlage smart deadbolts and was going to purchase a third for this house, but the features as well as the all-black (when not in use) faceplate of this model were attractive to me. I also was drawn to this model specifically working with Google, Amazon, and Apple Homekit. My Schlage locks would have required a bridge to be able to do thst. Installation was easy and I found the parts to be very premium and safety/security focused. One example is the length of screws. My dad once gave me a lecture on the importance of using longer screws when installing a deadbolt (the knes thst go into the door’s wood) to make it harder to kick in and I have always needed to use my own screws with other prodicts. Not the case with this deadbolt. The screws they provided were actually LONGER than what my dad taught me to use. Little things like that put this product on a pedestal above the rest. I also really love the notifications I get on my AppleTVs when the door us left ajar, unlocked, or locked. Having a dog and a 4yr old means the front door sometimes gets left slightly ajar and being able to catch that from any room in the house and go shut it means I dont have to worry about my dog getting out and bringing me a frog he found while also air conditioning the outside for an indeterminate amount of time.

I had the 2nd generation august lock, which started to degrade in performance-- both from a wifi connectivity standpoint and just the mechanism itself. Was looking for something that had a keypad option and finger print option and this was it. Overall, if you're coming from a non-smart lock, the installation is straightforward with the guides from the pages being helpful. A caveat is that this product fits a very specific door length, density, etc. I would pay VERY close attention to the specifications of where the holes are. The app itself is just the august app but made for yale. confusing at first, but eventually you'll figure it out. I was able to store finger print entries for non-app/account holders (like small children--mother in laws--etc) which I appreciated. The finger print reader portion of the product is finicky. I would say it works 5/10 times, most of the time the auto-entry feature unlocks it before needing fingerprint access. Maybe its just my weird thumbs?

I purchased this lock for our short term rental and I love it ! It easily integrates with AirBnB seamlessly so my guests are automatically sent a door code for check in . I love the fingerprint feature on it so in case I lock my phone inside and don’t remember the codes , I can still get in . Set up was simple and easy . I will definitely use this over and over again for more short term rentals

This lock is great. I had the Nest Yale Lock previously and this is definitely an upgrade. The fingerprint sensor and the automatic unlocking feature when I get home are awesome. The only complaint I have is that I can't get the door sense sensor to work properly.

This lock is super cool and very responsive, love it. Very easy to install and user friendly experience . I had another lock similar to this and it did not satisfy my security and user needs. I recommend this lock to anyone who is in the market for security, and a modern upgrade.

I live in a 3-unit condo building and bought this to replace a Lockly lock that burnt out from being in the sun. This is on our main, exterior door. The lock is easy to install and works well. The fingerprint sensor is a great feature and works 99.9% of the time. If my fingers are cold, I may have to warm them up or leave my finger on the sensor a bit longer. The app is nice and simple. The WiFi works well. Man oh man does it eat through batteries. It might be because it’s used more frequently due it being at the main door shared by all three units. I replace the batteries every 2-3 months.

    Great smart-lock BUT Terrible Battery

This lock is a secure and feature-rich smart lock that's easy to use. However, the battery life is simply unacceptable. It's a constant battle to keep the lock operational, and I have to replace 4 AA batteries almost every 2 months which is incredibly inconvenient and costly. If Yale can improve the battery life, this lock has the potential to be an outstanding product. Until then, users should be prepared for the inconvenience of frequent battery changes.

I’m starting with four stars, because the batteries that came with it seemed to wear out rather quickly. Within a couple of weeks quickly. And the lock is literally 5 feet away from the nearest Wi-Fi connection. But who knows how long those batteries were in transit.
