I had recently purchased 8k tv and was looking to upgrade to one that would accommodate the new resolution. I purchased this because of the promise of 8k resolution. Then the HDMI 2.1 issue was affected by this... Yamaha said it was running a hardware upgrade program but still nothing. They should refund us or give us the new model they just released in exchange for these.. I Hope they follow through

Don’t know what you are asking my purchase was fine except I was told I would get $300 off for obtaining my Best Buy card which I don’t see

Started out great after set-up but things have gone downhill fast with this unit- I have reset it multiple times since it wont play thru all speakers now- center channel wont work with rest of the speakers and vice/versa. Its doing some really strange things and at this point wont even play while watching streaming tv- Even bought the sister unit to this the TSR/700 and the glitches seemed to be shared. The menu and selection options are highly confusing and seem to do what they want instead of what you want- Spent most of the weekend trouble shooting but at this point I am going to return and wait a couple months to see if they can improve the basic functionality of playing thru a 5.1 system- Bummer-

HDMI ports fail at 4K 60Hz. So far 3 different ports with the inputs from my gaming PC have failed at this setting. This is the second of the same Yamaha-receivers that has had this issue.

Sounds great. Haven't had any of the problems that others have had.

This was listed as “open box” even though it was sealed in the original box with all its contents appearing untouched. Anyways I hooked everything up and it sounded awesome and functioned as it should. A day or 2 later I was getting video but no audio. So I unplugged it for a few and restarted then it was fine. The next day, same problem. Then it happened a 3rd time and I couldn’t fix it. There was an issue with the Audio Return Channel on the unit because I ruled out every other problem via troubleshooting. I had no choice but to return the unit.

Excellent sound and video quality. Pretty use to setup.

It's a little hard to figure out as there are not nearly as many manual buttons than older receivers, so there's a learning curve. Otherwise, it's pretty darn sweet.

Connects all our devices with our surround sound. It is amazing!
