Doesn't wrll with direct tv. Everything else is great

Great receiver! Strong performance! Very pleased with this purchase.

For the price point I'm extremely impressed, runs 8ohms 90w or higher with ease

It took a while to get used to the options that Yamaha uses, but it is a definite upgrade over my 5 year old Sony. The dvp is much better and the sound separation is great.

Yamahas website showed there would be a patch this september to enable 120hz and 4k so I purchased. Its not November and I havent hesrd anything. They just tell me to check back in a few weeks. The system sounds great except it often will cut audio or it takes a few seconds for audio to kick in after starting a show. Very annoying but not a deal breaker I guess. Very unhappy about the update not being out yet. Would suggest another receiver at this time.

Doesnt work right out of the box. Yamaha knows there is an issue with the hdmi on this receiver and yet they continue to see it. New projector,new devices....When you add additional hdmi devices it goes to no signal, now the thing gives no signal with just the main hdmi. SHAME ON YAMAHA

We have one more step, as the DVD and CD of our old system is antique and we had to upgrade. The new receiver supports our household system effectively and assuming our upgrade works as well, we are thrilled.

I'm still figuring out all of the intricacies of the Yamaha RX-V6A reciever. The center channel speaker I use sounds a little bit off. But otherwise it is a great product. I've just got to do some fine tuning to get the best performance. I would definitely recommend the Yamaha RX-V6A.

The system now appears to be working as it should have from day one. Sad that it took this long

Twice with 2 different receivers, they shut themselves off and can't be turned back on. Should have a reset switch that allows you to power the unit back on instead of having to send it out for repair.

It's ok. Right now we have it in a closet and we have to go in to turn it on or off which I do not like.

This receiver was marketed towards gamers due to the 3 HDMI 2.1 ports. To date, no HDMI 2.1 features have been enabled by firmware updates. Yamaha's HDMI chips are faulty just like Denon, so Yamaha announces a fix will be "announced" in the summer which is probably a board swap to be performed in the fall. So I have to wait a whole year to get the features that I paid for plus send my unit back for the board to be replaced which should take forever like everything else has for the last 1.5 years. Yamaha should be offering refunds at this point!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

had a older yamaha amp that I liked this one is better seperation I'm hearing thinks I couldn't with the old unit,

This was a purchase of an open box. The reason for return was an intermittent sound problem that the technicians could not replicate, sold as new with discount, full warranty. I bought it and have had continuing intermittent sound loss. This is a broad problem with this model number according to reports on the internet. At 2 years, it is unbearable. Yamaha is assisting with factory warranty. I will be without the unit for estimated 2 weeks for repairs. Yamaha will not replace with better designed product or assist with discount on new purchase to keep a customer. Take you chances with Yamaha. A lot of problems for a several hundred dollar unit.

Its hard to understand the options on the menu. The geek squad guys are still working to get it functioning properly.

Working well. No regrets. Remote we have to get accustomed to and convert it with our cable Remote. We love our receiver

Very satisfied with the product. We had to call support when we were setting it up and they were very helpful.
