Simple setup, tunes the system easy to use remote and airplay 2

Perfect. The sound is great and an assets to my theater room.

This was listed as “open box” even though it was sealed in the original box with all its contents appearing untouched. Anyways I hooked everything up and it sounded awesome and functioned as it should. A day or 2 later I was getting video but no audio. So I unplugged it for a few and restarted then it was fine. The next day, same problem. Then it happened a 3rd time and I couldn’t fix it. There was an issue with the Audio Return Channel on the unit because I ruled out every other problem via troubleshooting. I had no choice but to return the unit.

Good sound. Still waiting for the 8k switching firmware. Switching is defective.

The unit I ordered was open box excellent condition. I was unable to open for 2.5 month due to an unplanned trip. Once I opened the box, it was clear that the condition was not excellent. The top front of the RX-V6A was scratched up. Part of the box was slightly dented. The remote was completely broken. The unit does power on and off but 99% of functionality is done through the remote. Setup is done with the remote because there are few buttons on the unit. I don't know if this is under Best Buy warranty but I did register with Yamaha and asked them how to get a replacement remote. Hopefully that will allow me to set up the receiver. Just be cautious when buying open box snd make sure you have the time to open and set up asap. I am unable to truly rate this, as I am unable to use it.

It's a great receiver for the price. Far from being a value/low end device, this one has all the latest features, and was the most cost effective way to get into Dolby Atmos sound for my small home theater (running in a 5.1.2 config). I've always been partial to Yamaha sound processing and this one continues to deliver great audio.

I bought this to upgrade for the Xbox series x. I'm still feeling it out to give it a fair review. I have issues occasionally with sound and/or picture going out; but that could also be from the LG CX tv. I'm not sure which is to blame for these issues or they just don't like each other. Or they do and they just don't like me.

Not like yamaha of old. Small display that I can't see after 3 feet away. Had lots of troubles, too many to talk about. Had to return.

Known problem with HCDP 2.2 error even after updating firmware to 1.63

Nice reciever overall, could have a few more settings for fine tuning

It took a while to get used to the options that Yamaha uses, but it is a definite upgrade over my 5 year old Sony. The dvp is much better and the sound separation is great.

I'm still figuring out all of the intricacies of the Yamaha RX-V6A reciever. The center channel speaker I use sounds a little bit off. But otherwise it is a great product. I've just got to do some fine tuning to get the best performance. I would definitely recommend the Yamaha RX-V6A.

Doesn't wrll with direct tv. Everything else is great

We have one more step, as the DVD and CD of our old system is antique and we had to upgrade. The new receiver supports our household system effectively and assuming our upgrade works as well, we are thrilled.
