For the price point I'm extremely impressed, runs 8ohms 90w or higher with ease

HDMI ports fail at 4K 60Hz. So far 3 different ports with the inputs from my gaming PC have failed at this setting. This is the second of the same Yamaha-receivers that has had this issue.

This receiver was marketed towards gamers due to the 3 HDMI 2.1 ports. To date, no HDMI 2.1 features have been enabled by firmware updates. Yamaha's HDMI chips are faulty just like Denon, so Yamaha announces a fix will be "announced" in the summer which is probably a board swap to be performed in the fall. So I have to wait a whole year to get the features that I paid for plus send my unit back for the board to be replaced which should take forever like everything else has for the last 1.5 years. Yamaha should be offering refunds at this point!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Doesnt work right out of the box. Yamaha knows there is an issue with the hdmi on this receiver and yet they continue to see it. New projector,new devices....When you add additional hdmi devices it goes to no signal, now the thing gives no signal with just the main hdmi. SHAME ON YAMAHA

It's ok. Right now we have it in a closet and we have to go in to turn it on or off which I do not like.

After hours of effort I could never get this receiver to work properly. Help from Best Buy was nill. Only option was to pay the Geek Squad to work on it (a brand new item). Out of frustration I returned it to the store.

had a older yamaha amp that I liked this one is better seperation I'm hearing thinks I couldn't with the old unit,

Its hard to understand the options on the menu. The geek squad guys are still working to get it functioning properly.

Twice with 2 different receivers, they shut themselves off and can't be turned back on. Should have a reset switch that allows you to power the unit back on instead of having to send it out for repair.

So far I’m satisfied. Thinking about getting the same one for my basement

Working well. No regrets. Remote we have to get accustomed to and convert it with our cable Remote. We love our receiver

Flat sounding, decided to keep my old Pioneer despite all the bells and whistles of the new receiver.

Very satisfied with the product. We had to call support when we were setting it up and they were very helpful.

Waiting to have them installed. The Best Buy Total Tech is a complete waste. Too many hoops to jump through and terrible customer service attempting to have them install this per the agreement.

I really wanted to like this receiver. Ascetically it’s beautiful. And when it’s working everything works great. But I run into issues every day when trying to switch between my series x and Apple TV4K. And today my hdmi out quit working. Best Buy doesn’t have anything in stock to do an exchange. Waited an hour on hold with Yamaha to figure out I have to wait 3-5 business days for a box to send my receiver back (another 3-5 days) then wait who knows how long to get my receiver back. Considering returning it.
