I love Yamaha but this unit had source switching problems so I returned after three days.

Look like this item was used. The box was open and some of the parts were missing. My wife wanted me to return it!!

Set up was awful, right after downloading firmware update I could not keep the set up inputs ! Thought I was doing it wrong and paid for a geeksquad set-up and even they failed ! Returned for refund ! Will not consider buying again !

Many issues. Firmware did not fix it. I bought something else. I need to add the sound quality is fine for stereo, but not much else. Poor separation, I run sound for bands, I could not get this to sound the way I wanted. I have many Yamaha components, and on this one they failed me.

still getting used to it. A bit more complicated than i thought. May post later.

Does not adequately switch and HOLD between inputs

Good receiver buy volume is not so great.I put it on -32 for good sound which is half way up.

Receiver stopped working after a month of owning it. No power at all, not even the red standby light. Only used it a handful of times as I was still in the process of building my home theater. Took it back to Best Buy and they said the product is not within Best Buy’s warranty date. Unbelievable. Now have to wait for Yamaha Service Center to have a look at it as they are apparently 6 weeks on back order. Not the greatest start into home theater unfortunately, won’t be buying Yamaha again…

Works when Google home is misleading. Sure, I can apparently control with my voice(why though?), but it does not behave as a Google home device, and I cannot sync with my Google home speakers throughout the house. Musicast is some proprietary garbage. Will be returning

The MusicCast never connects. It always complains about “Setup failed. Please restart setup. (-10305)” I have tried all possible options that I could find online. Nothing worked. Now I have this device that I paid a very hefty amount that does not work thru music cast, zoning etc..

Need the return policy and warranty explained brtter

Very disappointed. I loved the asthetic of the receiver. Was excited that it was 8k ready. Unfortunately I felt like it wasn't pushing my speakers like it should and the overall sound quality was bright. I returned it and went with a Denon.

This is suppose to be able to play music. I have yet to be able to use it and Best Buy only has returns up to 20 days. It takes time to get this set up when all the items did not come in with the reciever. I will never buy from best buy again.

Fantastic sound but horrible functionality. Terrible HDMI switching across all 7 HDMI inputs. Loss of image is pretty constant. Multiple power cycles just to go from a cable box to a stream box and then a game console? This is a problem that YAMAHA needs to address or this is getting returned ASAP.

Had problems trying to connect speaker wires in back of receiver because of lack of space between terminals. Also the receiver caused my tv to act weird and the tv would switch off by itself.

It's not a good receiver. It's stopped working 3 weeks after I had it and went into productive mode. And I can't return it so don't buy It's not worth $700.

The bass on this receiver is great, but that's all I can say positive about it. Full of glitches and issues for me and was returned.

Receiver for surrond sound system time will tell how it does most all will overheat when in use

Poor machine have had geek squad back twice already and still not working properly. Dont buy it I’ll be returning the one I have
