A: I just measured the distance and it is approximately 49 inches from the outermost part of the legs
A: I just setup this TV in my home. There are two spacings for the legs. 63" which did not fit on my table and a shorter distance which I used. I just now measured the exact distance from the outside of one foot to the outside of the other foot and it is 48.5 inches. My table is 59" and works quite well.
Q: What are the outside dimensions of the 82 inch 8 series nu800d
A: The overall dimensions of this TV are 45.3"H x 72"W x 15.2"D.
Q: Can it be hung up on a wall and how many HDMI plug in are there
A: This television includes four HDMI inputs and can be hung on a wall with a bracket.
Q: Can you lay the box down in back of a truck to transport?
A: The screen is huge and laying it flat definitely risks breaking it. It is highly recommended to transport this TV upright. Do not risk spending your money only to have this arrive at your home broken. Use tie down straps to keep the TV vertical or have Best Buy deliver it. I used the delivery service (had no truck) and had no issues with unit arriving safely. I am glad I chose that route.
A: Without going back into all of the research we did, the MU8000 series is last year's model and the NU8000 is this year's model just released in April 2018. There are reviews out there on CNET and such that will tell you what the differences are. The NU8000 does have the spots for separate legs. I do feel holes further in from where the legs are at on ours but there are no holes, panels or anything on the back of the set in the middle to mount a middle stand, only the holes to attach the TV to a wall mount. The legs on ours are 60 inches apart where they insert into the body of the TV. You just insert them into the holes and they click or lock into place. No screws, bolts or tools necessary. The actual feet that touch the stand the TV is sitting on angle outward a bit and they touch at about 63 inches apart.
Q: Does this television have the one connect box?
A: No. That was last years model (2017) MU that had the one connect box.
A: Beans, if you are referring to the 82 inch Samsung UHDTV, the "footprint" of the feet on both ends is 63 inches wide (between the 2 sets of legs) x 15 1/2 inches deep. For me, the concern would be having only 1/4 inch of clearance front and back from the TV potentially falling off your stand. This thing weighs 100 pounds. I suspect the depth of the feet will be the same irregardless of screen size but I cannot confirm that. Hope that helps.
