Q: Is there an external power supply?
A: No external power supply needed. Comes with a USB 3.0 cable and that's it!
A: It is 480 Gb. Must have been a stock photo.
Q: Is SanDisk 480GB SSD External hard drive compatible with Windows 10 Os?
A: Yes. That is what my system is and no problems.
A: The SSD memory work great with IOS sierra and there was no product, it work to transfer and storage all your files but not to expand.
A: It comes with a short cable but there was no separate siftware with mine, unless it's included in the file that was on the SSD. I have not opened that file.
