Q: Does this mike need a receiver or speaker to operate? How is it powered?
A: We connected ours to an amp that we already owned. It should also connect to a stereo system.
Q: Does this microphone have an on and off switch?
A: Hello- This mic does not have an on/off switch. Any Sennheiser hand-held mic with the designation of "-S" has a switch. Example: "e815-S"
A: undefined
Q: performance
A: It depends on what you want to use it for. Like any mic might be okay at a party using a PA system for announcements. But if you are looking to do voice recording then it is a different story. Also you need to see your budget! The mic is only one cost, you need to factor in stands, speakers, wires, connectors, mixers, power sources, recording equipment and software. Like a simple rode mic maybe around $200, but when you combine everything else the price could easily be around $700 without the computer used to record the voice.
A: The product in question is an e935, which is a wired microphone. Our wireless series of microphones consists of the EVOLUTION WIRELESS G3 series.
