Q: Is this vacuum corded or battery operated?
A: This is corded.
Q: Can this model turn the roller off for shag rugs?
A: Yes, but it does not work very well on high pile rugs. I'm pretty unhappy with it. It works great on hardwood and tile, but unless you have berber or very low carpet, it's near impossible to push. It's exhausting to use on carpet and takes me both hands to push and pull it.
Q: How well does this vacuum transition between carpet and hard wood floor?
A: The NV341 will transition to from hard floor to carpet by simply pressing the Brushroll button.
