A: yes...actually shuts off as soon as coffee is brewed. stainless pot keeps it hot for hours

A: According to Amazon, the dimensions are: 15.16 x 7.36 x15.43. Not sure why it isn't listed here.
Q: Can you brew only 2 cups in the carafe or do you need to make at least 4cups
A: You need to brew the 4 Cups. However, you will see that this coffeemaker's 4 Cups is drastically smaller than conventional makers. So, I think you will be perfectly satisfied with the amount on this coffeemaker of 4 Cups. I use this level everyday, and it really is only enough for the 2 cups of coffee you desire. Enjoy!

A: The filter is the flat bottom type. Not the cone one.
A: Must be an individual machine defect. Return for exchange; this has never happened to myself.
Q: How many ounces in a pod single serve brew ?
A: 6-8 oz. depending how strong you want it. I use two 6 oz. cup pods for my 12 oz. mug and push the strong button. I use Meijer pods which cost $32.99 per 100 ct. ,but only when they go on sale for $25.99

A: Back.
