Q: What is local dimming? This is the only difference I see between 850E and 900E
A: The 900E has an array of LED backlights that can be changed in intensity based on the picture being displayed on the LCD panel in front of the LEDs. Having localized control of the backlighting behind the LCD panel helps to allow things like dark content to appear very dark, yet have the intended detail. With static backlighting, the same content would appear grey due to the LED backlights bleeding through the LCD panel. Having seen how the 900E handles mixed scenes of very bright and dark content, the local dimming works very well and I wouldn't go with a set that didn't have it.
Q: Which is better the Sony 75" e series or the 65" e series
A: We purchased the 75" a couple months ago and couldn't be happier. The major decision with the size of ANY TV should be the size of the TV in comparison to the size of the room, and how far from the TV you plan to be.
Q: What is the minimum distance to watch this tv? Thanks.
A: Best ask at Best Buy
Q: What is the size of the box? Trying to figure out if it will fit in my SUV.

A: We have windows along the wall to the side of the TV. We have no trouble viewing the FANTASTIC picture, but if the sun were shining directly in those windows, we would close the blinds.
