A great all in one lens. Solid. Weather sealed.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great all in one walk around lens that eliminates changing lenses constantly. It's weather sealed which makes it great for hiking with your camera. It's also relatively compact seeing that it goes from 16mm at the wide angle all the way to 300mm zoomed in. The photos are fairly crisp. The image stabilization works pretty good I'd say. I also have the 10-20mm Nikon wide angle lens, and I'll probably invest in a 150-600mm lens as well to complete the package, but this would be my everyday lens that I'd use most often. Definitely happy with it on my Nikon D7500.

Love only having to use one lens
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this lens based on a recommendation from a family member. I love that I can go from 18mm-300mm with one lens. No more fumbling around to switch lenses. One word of caution is that the barrel is long so you can get shadowing in pictures when the standard flash is used. I am cropping out the shadow until I can invest in a new flash that sits higher on the camera.

Q: QuestionI need sharpness and clarity ....how is good is this lens with a NikonD7200?
Asked by angel123.
- A:Answer I have a Nikon D7100, the model previous to your D7200. The 200-500mm works like a champ on it. In comparison to my older Nikon 1st gen 80-400mm, it finds focus way quicker, and seemingly more accurately. No more waiting while it "hunts" for a focus. In comparison to my Nikon f2.8 70-200mm, it is roughly the same, perhaps a tad slower but it's also a lot cheaper. Image quality is very nice. Sharp. Clear. Fast. It IS pretty heavy, fairly ponderous. But for "sharpness and clarity" on the D7200, I think you'll be pleased.

Q: Questiondoes this lens work well with FX format; e.g., Nikon D3X?
Asked by dick.
- A:Answer You can use DX lenses in crop mode and you will get the same FFOV you get on a DX camera but with less resolution because you are only using the middle part of the sensor. Or you can use them as FX lenses and accept vignetting in the corners. The amount will vary from lens to lens. I would not use this with a full frame sensor camera.
