A: Go back into Best Buy this time with your I-pad Mini, that is what I did...as the printing on the packages are not always correct as I found out. So go back again. FYI...Always bring what you have to the store, that way you can confirm in person, as that will save you time and peace of mind.

A: Yes, it does 'fit' the iPad mini 4, but the sleep/wake mode does not work. It claims sleep/wake mode does work for previous models of iPad mini. Buyer beware if this is a particular function that you want.

A: Hard plastic with protective ribs.
A: Yes there is a magnetic clasp that holds the front cover closed. However be advised that it's not a very strong magnet so in the event of a drop the front cover could jar loose from the magnet exposing the face of the iPad. Hope this info is helpful to you.
