Q: Can this scale be used on carpet?
A: I think it would depend on the depth of the carpet. The unit has a "button" on the back which must be able to be depressed in order to give you a readout. If it something like a berber carpet, I think it might work, but anything more might be too plush.
A: Mine did the same thing with a 5 pound difference. It was kinda funny because nobody else knew it besides me, so I always weighed second. Finally, I recalibrated the scale and both weights were even again. My son and wife thought that they lost 5 pounds. I never told them. LoL
