Control your lights, ceiling fans, and other fixtures from anywhere with the HS200. The smart switch replaces any standard light switch, and connects to your home Wi-Fi in no time through the free Kasa app. Kasa also lets you manage connected fixtures with your smartphone or tablet, including setting schedules, timers and countdowns. For added convenience, you can use your voice to control the HS200 when paired with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.
A: Yes you can. I have two of them each location has two other switches in the box. I'll attach the images of the locations so you can get a better idea of how they will look. One thing to note is that these switches only come in white (as far as I know). If your house is like mine, we have mostly almond-colored switches so these TPlink ones stick out like a sore thumb. But this does not really matter to us. Hope this helps.
Q: Does this need a neutral wire?
A: Yes it does 2 load wires (black) 1 ground wire (green) 1 neutral wire (white)
A: I bought the model in the US to test at home (NZ) in 220/240v as most TP-Link website says it is both. I can confirm it works fine on 220v.
A: I just tried it and the Schedule works even if the router is off. The schedule is saved internally.
Q: Does it work with the Smart Life app
A: Not straight out of the box. It uses the Kasa app. According to this blog, there is a way get the switch to work with Smart Life through a hub or by configuring a cloud to cloud connection, but I haven’t done it. https://community.smartthings.com/t/integrating-wifi-switches-plugs-that-use-the-tuya-smartlife-app-or-ewelink-app/116141 What I have done is use Amazon’s Alexa to integrate my Smart Life, Kasa, Bond, and SmartThings devices. The Alexa app or voice commands serves as my consolidated smart device control, and I rarely use the other apps.
Q: Will the TP-Link- Wireless Smart Light Switch work with Netgear Orbi routers? Thanks
A: They should work with any router as long as there is signal available.
A: Yes, when the light is off the circles on the bottom are illuminated.
A: You can use standard Wall Plates, Most of the wall plates that i came with it for me have stayed in the box as they dont match the rest of the house.
