Q: QuestionIf I buy a wifi router do I have to buy a plan or does it just work after I buy it. Also how many gigabytes does this router have. And last question, is there a limit on how many gigabytes I can use in a certain amount of time. THANK YOU FOR HELPING
Asked by Notatechexpert.
- A:Answer The only monthly plan that you have to pay is to the Internet service provider. If you buy a router from BestBuy, Walmart etc. there is no monthly plan. And make sure your IP provider isn't charging you for one that you didn't get from them. If you have one from them you will have to return it to them.

Q: QuestionIs this router good to connect a few devices speed wise? I’m planning on using it inside my dorm room and need a couple devices connected only.
Asked by lilil.
- A:Answer Yes, the N450 WiFi router can easily support a few devices. However, please bear in mind that dorm environments are typically over-saturated with 2.4GHz WiFi congestion, so we highly recommend optimizing the router's WiFi channel settings upon installation for best results. Please take a moment to look over our FAQ on changing the wireless channel: https://www.tp-link.com/us/faq-2292.html Regards, TP-Link Support

Q: QuestionMy main question is if this is activated using a coax cable, or if I need to buy some crazy adapter
Asked by Wevo.
- A:Answer The router does not utilize coaxial connectivity; it connects to your existing Internet source (i.e. modem) via Ethernet. For example, if you have cable Internet services, you will need a cable modem, which connects to your coaxial Internet source, then converts it to Ethernet so you can connect it to a router, such as this one. Asked by Foster129.
- A:Answer The TL-WR940N is designed to provide reliable N450 WiFi connectivity for your home. It is not designed to "boost" your Internet connection.
