Q: Under Specs it says "True Wireless: No" Do they require a wire to the controller or something?
A: They are truly wireless, the only wire part is to charge the headset.
Q: Can this product connect to a MAC for online gaming?
A: I connect this headset to my Mac with either the Bluetooth connection or via a 3.5 audio cable.
Q: is the battery replaceable or is this an expensive paperweight when it dies?
A: The battery is replaceable as it is a pack with a connector.
Q: Is this headset glasses friendly?
A: Yes. I always have that problem with headsets feeling like they’re crushing my face due to my glasses. These are very soft and smooth. Glasses feel no difference once they are on.
Q: Does it mute your mic when it is flipped up?
A: Yes it does.
A: Well the prices are apples to oranges but I personally don't trust gaming headsets without boom mics. Just my opinion. Also there are no dials on the 800X so that is a fail in my book. It is more up to personal preference on some of the differences it seems. So it depends on what you mean by "better".
Q: Is there a way to connect these to a gaming pc?
A: There is although you do need a Xbox wireless USB adapter which are usually about $20 but I do think it is worth it
