A: Make sure base is turned on and right side up...the model numbers should be on bottom of base not top. Also, after reading it seems some phone cases can block the charging. Verify by taking off case and placing on charger. Mine seems to work with my heavy case though. Also, move the phone around to see the light change to charging light. I am satisfied with my both my charging units. Hope this has helped.

A: No, your phone will not charge in an Otterbox case. It will charge in a thinner iphone case.
Q: Will this work with an iPhone 6 or 7?
A: i’m not sure about the 7, but it doesn’t work with iphone 5 or 6!!
