This projector is absolutely brilliant, much better than I thought and exceeded expectations in terms of clarity and brightness. This is exceptional for a projector movie theater that can project upto 200” screen size. The experience of watching a movie in this projector is awesome with the right speakers. Brightness: This projector is comes with 680 ANSI Lumens (550 ISO Lumens) and displays images in Full HD with 1080p resolution (1080 x 1920). During practical use, its super bright, produces amazing picture quality in dark conditions and good quality in bright conditions too. The projector claims a overall light source life of 30,000 hours which is enormous. Distance and screen size: The minimum projector distance is 4 feet and maximum is 20 feet. It produces a minimum screen size of 40 inches and a maximum of 200 inches. The distance determines the screen size. Further you place the projector, larger the screen size. Inbuilt stream and other Input Options: By default this projector has licensed software of Netflix, Prime video and YouTube. This has WebOS software and the app store has few other options but not the important ones. This has 2 HDMI IN options and a USB port. We can connect devices like Fire stick, Roku to the HDMI IN port; or play videos via USB drive. I felt connecting a Firestick solves all its limitations. It boots up to the last used device, which is convenient. Screen cast is also available where I was able to cast my tab screen to the projector. I could also connect my laptop to use it for presentations. Sound Options: The projector has an inbuilt dual 8W speaker which is alright. But for the ultimate experience it should be connected to a sound bar via Bluetooth or 3.5mm jack. It supports Dolby audio when connected to the right speakers. Unfortunately I noticed a very slight delay in sound when connected via Bluetooth to my external Home theater sound bar. So I am using a 3.5mm jack instead and its perfect. Auto Focus Feature: The best feature of this projector is its Auto focus. When the projector is moved slightly, it does an auto focus to adjust the image to produce a crisp and sharp image. This can also be projected from a side angle, and the auto focus automatically processes the image and projects it straight and this feature feels like magic. This also has an manual focus mode, which comes in handy if the auto focus doesn’t produce the sharpest image (it could happen when projected from a side-upward angle). Projection Angle: It supports 4 different projection angles – Front Desktop, Front Ceiling, Rear Desktop and Rear ceiling. Portability: With just 5 pounds weight and 12 x 10 x 4 inches, its pretty portable and easy to move around and setup anywhere we like. Watching Experience: The experience of watching a late night movie with this projector is out of the world. With right speakers, it almost feels like watching in a cinema hall. Noise: The only con of this projector is its loud noise. By no means it is quiet. However, when I was watching something with sound, the sound suppresses the projector noise. This did not hinder my movie watching experience. Summary: The Vankyo Performance V700 Pro projector as the name suggests performs like a pro. With crisp sharp images, the picture quality is brilliant and it can get plenty bright as well. I had a great time watching movies in it. I absolutely recommend it for anyone looking for a projector.

I was excited to get the opportunity to use the new Vankyo Performance V700 Pro Projector. With its 1080P resolution, built-in Android WebOS for streaming, along with Bluetooth and wireless connectivity, it's exactly what I wanted for enhancing movie night and work presentations. First thing I noticed was the compact sleek modern design, compared to other projectors that just look like printers with a lens attached to it. The V700 Pro has a nice matte finish, mostly made of plastic, and it feels pretty sturdy. It’s lightweight enough to carry around and can easily fit in a small bag or the box it came in, making it a great choice for those who need portability. The lens is well-protected and comes with a lens cover, and the overall construction doesn’t feel cheap. Setting up the projector was pretty straightforward and it is pretty much plug and play. Point the projector towards the screen or wall and it will auto adjust and focus the picture to the screen. That being said, you will need to make sure you are at least 8 to 9 ft away to get the full 120 inches. This is where I noticed a slight design flaw in the projector, in that it's difficult to angle the projector just right, along with getting it to the right height at which the projector needs to be at. It has a built-in screw angle adjustment for the tilt and I found myself stacking several books under it for a better angle. I assumed the projector would have some sort of mounting screw on the bottom of it, where I could potentially use a camera tripod to mount it on, but it didn't have one. My whole grand scheme of using this projector was for an outdoor movie night with an inflatable 120in screen. This led me to look for a special tripod designed for a projector that has a flat base and can be strapped down for stability and I was able to find one online for around $30, FYI. I did bring it into my office for a presentation and I forgot the remote at home, but luckily it has touch sensitive buttons built into the top of it where you're still able to navigate the home page, apps and inputs, which was super clutch. It comes with Android WebOS built-in, so you don't need to connect an external streaming device (it does come with 2 HDMI input ports if you do want to connect a streaming device, laptop or gaming console) so it's one less thing you need to worry about. And it has access to all the big name apps like Netflix, YouTube, Prime and Hulu. Navigating through the menus was smooth thanks to an intuitive interface. The included remote control (AAA batteries not included) was responsive, making it easy to adjust picture settings and switch between inputs. Connecting my devices was hassle-free. The V700 Pro supports both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, allowing for connecting to my Wi-Fi for streaming and quick pairing with Bluetooth speakers. For a relatively budget projector, the picture quality was impressive. The native 1080P resolution delivered crisp visuals, and colors were fairly accurate right out of the box. I tested it in different lighting conditions, and while it obviously worked best in a dark room, the 680 lumens brightness made it usable even with some ambient light. One minor downside is that blacks and contrast levels aren’t as deep as those found in higher-end projectors. Dark scenes in movies sometimes lacked detail, but overall, it provided a great viewing experience for casual use. The built-in dual speakers were decent but not outstanding. They are loud enough for a small room, and can drown out the fan noise, but I’d definitely recommend using an external Bluetooth speaker or soundbar for a better audio experience, especially if you’re planning to use it for movies or gaming. I was able to test it with my PS5 Pro, and while it will only push out 60Hz and there was some noticeable input lag in fast-paced games, it wasn’t a dealbreaker for casual and party gaming. The fan noise was on the louder side, especially during long periods, but it wasn’t unbearable. Over time, I got used to it, and when paired with an external speaker, it became less noticeable. Pros and Cons Pros: Native 1080P resolution for sharp visuals Built-in WebOS with streaming apps Wireless connectivity (Wi-Fi & Bluetooth) Lightweight and portable design Multiple input options (HDMI, USB) Automatic keystone correction Cons: Fan noise is noticeable during extended use Lack of built in mounting system Contrast levels could be better for dark scenes Built-in speakers are average—external audio is recommended Not ideal for fast-paced gaming due to input lag Overall, the Vankyo Performance V700 Pro delivers solid performance for its price range. It’s a great option for casual home theater setups, streaming, and even occasional presentations. While it has a few drawbacks like fan noise and average contrast, its ease of use, picture quality, and built-in smart features make it a worthwhile purchase.
