Great phone for people who do not need a smart phone or was a phone for emergency use. It has a lot of good features: email, web usage, camera. speaker phone, texting and it is compact.

This phone is a very basic cheap phone. One of my main concerns is the Volume level on the speakerphone. It's rough hearing a phone call, since the volume is an issue, even if you increase it to maximum. It serves its purpose well as a disposable.

for the most part, this is a good phone for elderly parent. it was easy to set up. buttons are sufficiently large. speed dial is available. what i don't like is that the ringer volume is too soft for elderly parent hard of hearing, and when the phone rings, you don't just flip open the phone to answer - you have to flip open the phone AND push the answer button. If it were for me, not an issue, but for elderly simpler is always better,

Simple. Easy to use. Right for the price. Only downside is that it does not hold a battery charge as well as older, similar models.

After comparing the battery life of this phone (stand-by time of 6 days, 9 hours) to my Net10 Motorola flip phone (stand-by time of 15 days, 3 hours), I was a little disappointed, considering the Alcatel is much newer. The phones are very similar -- both play music, take pictures, etc. I also noticed a small glitch: the phone will sometimes indicate that charging is complete. However, when you unplug it, and plug it back in, the phone starts charging again. I haven't activated the phone yet, so I can't speak for service quality. If you're looking for a basic flip-phone with a few bonus features, it may be worth checking out for a few bucks.

Let me start by saying I have used Virgin Mobile for years because of the cheap rate that I get through their company. After having a Kyocera flip phone for years, it was time for a new flip phone. I use the phone for my convenience only and am not concerned with using data and the like. I will say, that with the Alcatel One Touch, I can now carry on conversations and actually HEAR what the other person is saying compared with my old phone There is great audio on this phone. My major complaint is while texting, if you have a double letter in the text, it takes forever for the cursor to move to the next space so that you can continue with the double lettered word. I have tried to see if this could be corrected, but to no avail. I you want a simple phone, with large buttons, a readable screen, and a camera for a quick pic, then this is for you. But, if you want to include QUICK texting, then look somewhere for a simple phone.

Its a ok phone if you want a basic phone with a camera that's cheap. I like the small size but receiving texts are very tiny and hard to read, I also don't like all the button pushing you have to do to send a text and sometimes I have to push real hard to get it to work.

If you text, forget it. If you need a phone and like large numbers, this is the bargain and it has a few added things for the price as camera and Bluetooth.
