      Best Budget Soundbar in 2017!!

Here is a YouTube video that covers everything about this soundbar: - The Vizio SB3621N-E8 is an incredible sound bar for those on a budget! I bought it on sale for $120 dollars and you can usually find it around $150 when it's not on sale. In the box, it comes with a remote, 3.5mm Aux cable, RCA and coaxial cable, an optical cable, manual, and the wall mounting brackets and instructions. Now when you're trying to decide which soundbar to get, there are so many options on the market and it can become a little overwhelming deciding which one to pick and which one is right for you. The Vizio definitely does stand out and is very unique, but is it the best budget soundbar in 2017? Let's find out! So first up the design, starting from the side it has a silver plate which has a really clean and sharp finish. From there, majority of the sound bar is made out of fabric and this design definitely doesn't come off cheap and maintains a high quality look. In the middle you have you power, input, and bluetooth button as well as your volume control buttons. Overall the design of the soundbar looks great and has a sleek design. The 5 inch subwoofer also has a silver finish in the front which looks like a premium sub and on the bottom, you have the power input, the pairing and on and off button. On the side, it's mainly all black and then lastly on the back it has an all silver plate design with the V logo and looks absolutely beautiful and very sharp! As far as the inputs on the back, there is an aux, usb, and power input and on the right hand side it has a digital as well as an optical input. The remote that comes with the soundbar is really nice and it also has a little screen on the top. You can navigate through the menu and adjust the soundbar's treble and bass, you can also adjust the subwoofer bass level, as well as select different inputs such as aux, bluetooth, etc. Also, when you increase or decrease the volume, on the left hand side of the bar, there will be led lights that indicate the volume level by showing dots. Now let's talk about the sound! So I spent time watching movies, listening to music, and playing video games and what I gathered is the soundbar produces great clarity with a lot of details in the mids and highs and has a great tight punchy bass which is a little on the leaner side. The 5 inch subwoofer is great has the bass is very tight and organized and I wouldn't say it's too bass heavy or too little, rather it's right in the middle. When I was watching a movie, the vocals sounded so crisp and clear and you can hear everything so easily. While listening to music with lots of instruments, you can hear so much detail in the music and you might even hear things that you might of not heard before because the clarity is outstanding and it sounds really clean. Normally I would have things to point out that I am not a huge fan of, but with the Vizio SB3621N-E8, there's really not much to complain about. For $120 dollars, you're getting such a high quality setup and it really comes off as a $250 dollar soundbar because the sound is incredible! I would say if you are trying to upgrade from you TV speakers or computer speakers and you want great sound spreading around the room and bringing the room to life, then the Vizio SB3621N-E8 is a fantastic option! Now if you want to upgrade and you're not on a budget and you want a very wide surround sound, especially if you have a really large room then you might want to consider a different soundbar. I do want to mention that those soundbars can cost anywhere from $500 - $600 or even higher and that's why the vizio really stands out because you're getting a really high quality soundbar system for a great price!

Already have a Vizio M-series 4K TV, so the soundbar paired perfectly with that, as expected. I consider myself a budget audiophile, and I would be doing a disservice to others if I didn't put at least a modest, foaming-at-the-mouth review about this spectacular soundbar. First off, it is 2.1, so you won't be getting full 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound from it. That said, you should do your homework before you buy - if you're looking to furbish your home theater with something that approximates a movie experience, a stereo soundbar is not for you, so keep moving. If you are looking to upgrade your sub-par TV speakers, this soundbar will far exceed your expectations, and take your day to day TV enjoyment to another level. I'd like to start with the subwoofer: What appears to be a 5" speaker is like the little engine that could - it is fully capable of rattling the windowpanes, if that is your thing. They tuned and ported that thing with some pretty advanced physics, and the cutoff frequency is exactly where it needs to be. Voices are never "woofing" at me, rather it brings out the warmth and fullness in the dialogue without being overbearing, or being anything that disturbs the neighbors. Sudden crashes or booms can be felt in the chest, like you expect, but then the rest of the time the sub is just there, enhancing things just right. Moving on to the bar itself, it is sometimes hard to remember that there are only 2 speakers in the thing. It throws sound around the room to where you would pause the show to see where that "noise" was coming from. A lot of soundbars push mid frequencies forward in an effort to make dialogue more distinctive, and presumably easier to hear, but unnecessary adulteration of program material that has already been professionally produced can undo what those skilled professionals already spent days and weeks working on, and is really not to the benefit of the listener. What you have with the Vizio soundbar is something that will cleanly and clearly reproduce the source material, meaning it sounds like it was intended to sound. If you're having trouble hearing the dialogue on the Vizio, simply turn up the volume a little bit, and don't worry, you won't be overwhelmed when the movie takes a noisy turn. You're hearing what the producers and editors wanted you to hear. One of the best reasons to drive like an idiot and go buy one of these right now is if you like music. Please buy this soundbar and listen to your favorite music through it. Pairing bluetooth is extremely simple, and even low-res videos on Youtube sound obscenely good, probably thanks to the fact that it is a plain and simple stereo setup. The focus of the design was on 2 speakers and a sub, and Vizio nailed all three. Buy this now. Buy this now. Buy this now. Buy this now.

I don't care about the whole 5.1 sound experience, heck I sold off my high end Yamaha AV receiver and PSB speaker system and just went back to good old 2 channel ( Outlaw RR2160). So when I upgraded to new TV I figured keep it real simple. After a couple of Stereophile reviewers praised this particular Vizio system I took the plunge AND I'm glad I did! SOUND QUALITY A+ LOUD. NO DISTORTION.. Great bass with the subwoofer. Can adjust Bass and treble via the remote.Has great presence, separation..People come in the room and can't believe the sound. The subwoofer being WIRELESS is wonderful. NO ISSUES at all. You DON'T even need to mate it to the soundbar, its ready out of the box. Subwoofer has some weight to it, too. You have a choice of OPTICAL or COAXIAL inputs. I do have a couple of complaints. 1) The REMOTE, its SMALL BUTTONS are FLAT, almost NO FEEL. NOT BACK LIT! Even though it has a TINY LCD screen and in good light is difficult to read. AND there isn't an explanation for any of the MENU items, some of course are easy to figure out, example NIGHT - ON or OFF? Trial and error... All you'll need it for is to power up the bar, as it will shut off after 15 minutes of you power off your TV. . 2.). The provided OPTICAL cable, ABSOLUTE JUNK.! VERY, VERY thin and hard to use, darn near rigid! I replaced it immediately with a much better thicker and well made cable. IT DEFINITELY greatly improved the audio output OVER the piece of junk Vizio included. If you ever need to call Vizio customer support, you'll find they are GREAT! Was disconnected and was called back with in minutes. AND I received a follow up call asking if my problem was successfully taken care of and was sent a survey via e-mail. too. All said I HIGHLY recommend this soundbar it works perfectly with my Samsung. ONLY reason for 4 stars? The remote is all. BUT, I can live with it.

I initially purchased the Sony HTCT290 soundbar/sub combo to replace my old Sony 5.1 setup. I returned it almost immediately. It sounded like it was in a tunnel and had a sub that sounded like someone was hitting a thing piece of cardboard. I read some reviews and found one that said the Vizio SB3621N-E8M blew everything (including Bose) out of the water, and they were right. This soundbar sounds crystal clear and has powerful deep bass (I actually run it two notches below the standard setting because of how awesome the bass range is; if I turn it up it'll blow my house away). I bought it a few weeks ago now and I'm still impressed every time I turn it on. I haven't done a lot of movie watching, so I can't speak to the surround abilities, but this soundbar sounds absolutely amazing for $150. Games sound brilliant. From EDM to classical to country, this thing is a pleasure to listen to. No distortion, gets LOUD when you want it to, and just... uhg. It's amazing. 100% better than my old sound system and light years better than the Sony HTCT290 (and cheaper, too!). The controller is simple and straight forward, setup was a breeze, and Bluetooth connects without hassle (just press the Bluetooth button on the bar for super quick and easy connecting after you pair). The LED indicators on the left of the bar tell you what port you're connected to, and the bass/treble options are indicated by the LED lights as well. All you have to do is use the quick start guide and you'll understand it in a few minutes. Super easy. My ONLY super minor complaint with this bar is that it doesn't have a quick "night" mode option. All you have to do is adjust the bass though and you're basically good to go; only takes a few clicks of a button. I'm a full believer in Vizio soundbars now. Amazing quality. Buy it. Buy it now. You won't regret it.

      Rich, vibrant audio.

This system is for my master bedroom. Impressive sound quality for a sound bar in this price range! Out of the box, the factory audio settings (Treble, Bass and Subwoofer) were set to high for my tastes. Also, the subwoofer is small & tall and I did not have high expectations. However, once I learned how to use the remote to adjust the audio settings, I am truly impressed. I'm a believer in that you get what you pay for. From and audio hardware perspective, every once in a while I'm proven wrong. Prior to this purchase, I tried two different Klipsch soundbar with sub. I'm a Klipsch fan-boy from a home theater level. Both Klipsch soundbar systems had issues that made them unusable and had to return both. After the last Klipsch return I decided to demo the other much less expensive soundbar's. Samsung, Polk, LG, then Vizio. The Vizio sounded best to my ears. So good in fact, I had to ask a best buy employee if the price tag was correct. Sure enough it was. I mounted this to my 50 inch Samsung, using a previously installed Sound bar mount. Its low profile, looks great and after a few hours of music and movies, sound quality actually improved! Another note, Bluetooth audio sounds fantastic. This was also a pleasent surprise. I love finding affordable audio hardware that produces quality sound. I Should mention that Demo'd the Sonos + Sub extensively. And that's my end game. I must admit, I'm going to have a difficult time justifying the cost of the Sonos Playbar + Sub for my bedroom after using this ridiculously inexpensive gem.

      Vizio 2.1 soundbar

Hello everyone, just wanted to give my opinion on the Vizio soundbar system. I usually don't post a lot, but when I get a good product I need to share the information with people. First, I didn't buy the Vizio to use as most of you may use it. My polk center channel to my 5.1 system got damaged in a flood (had speaker on floor) and I was in the market for a new center channel speaker. So I started looking into soundbars for this purpose. I did a lot of research to find the right one. Didn't want to spend a lot of money to test this out. Came across this soundbar at Best Buy. Sounded really good compared to the more expensive models. So I purchased this soundbar and set it up with my Emotiva pre/pro to see if it could hold its own compared to the Polk. And now I am so happy I discovered a new center channel for my system. The only reason I think it works and sounds so good is the fact that my Emotiva has an eleven band eq for each channel so I was able to dial up the right frequencies on this sound bar and it sounds reallly nice!!!! So if you're in the market for a center channel or just the soundbar itself I would say go for it. I didn't need the sub so I can't comment on that. But the bar itself was a really good and cheap investment. I will probably only use soundbars from now on these things sound amazing. Try it and see. Cheers!!!

Very good sound quality, minor flaws

Note: I went with an open box for $107, but I'd recommend this soundbar up till around maybe $160 (at the time of writing). Pros: Very good sound quality and clarity overall. For a non-surround system, it distinguishes left/right very well, and dialogue is always understandable. Movie sound effects are crisp and detailed, and most music genres play well. Bass is definitely not lacking as some reviews suggest - it can be loud if you want, while still blending with everything else. Cons: Sometimes sounds/effects can overpower the dialogue, though I'm not sure whether it's a soundbar issue or source issue. As for music, really heavy rock or metal does not sound great on this soundbar. The quality is there, but something with the tone doesn't seem to fit or represent the "heavy" sound well. Lastly, changing settings is a bit of a hassle. The soundbar itself has no display, and the one on the remote is small and unlit. Unless you have a very bright room, you'll have to hold the remote closely or at certain angles. Overall, I don't think anything else in the same price range has better bang for your buck. The Sony and Vizio bars don't sound quite as good, and even the $200 Samsung loses in terms of quality (but it has louder bass). Beyond that it's the more expensive Klipsch, but then you're literally in another tier.

      Great Sound - Great Value

      • My Best Buy® MemberMember

I purchased this for my bedroom. When I first set it up, I noticed that the soundbar seemed to by out of phase with the sub. I could actually tell immediately when sound was coming from the sub. My experience with my JBL system has taught me that when located properly and in-phase with the rest of the system, a sub should become almost invisible (I place my sub in the corner). So, I rearranged the placement of the soundbar and made sure that there was nothing between it and the wall. That made all the difference. Now the soundbar and sub are in-phase and the bass is omnipresent - as it should be. I was really surprised at how good this system sounds, especially since I had not thought of Visio as a speaker maker. You want bass, this bad boy delivers! As for the supplied remote; I used it only for initial setup. I have the soundbar, TV, and cable box programmed into my learning universal remote, and with one button I power off and on all three devices. Then I use my Dish Network remote to control the soundbar when I am watching TV.
