A: It is the size of about 25 business cards stacked up. It has a plastic case with metal covering the bottom half.
Q: Can I move picture files between a Mac and PC with this HD
A: Yes, it is Mac and pc compatible. The primary cable interface is usb C but it comes with a usb C to usb Type A adapter too. So if you do not have a usb c port it has your covered.

It automatically backs up files twice on two separate drives, and with its expansive 4,8 and 16TB capacity, it's an excellent choice for media libraries or professional archives. I have the single My Cloud Home and it works well and has remote access via any computer as it connects to your home network.
Q: What does "Hardware Encryption" mean?
A: The newer computers now are able to encrypt their internal hard drives such as Mac. This encryption scrambles the data on your internal drive for protection. If you want the same protection for your backup files then you are able to encrypt this portable drive. It requires a password to access and add, delete or modify files. You can opt out of encryption if you so desire.
A: I do believe they include an adaptor for the USB. And as far as I can tell, a SSD should work with your computer. Just do a internet search on "ssd compatibility with mid 2012 Macbook pro" and you'll find SSDs made for your computer.
A: Hi DeathB4dishounor, Sony added support for external USB hard drives on the PS5 with their April 2021 update. However, due to PS5 restrictions, games can only be played off the console’s internal SSD.
