A: Yes, Sony says you need the heat sink for it. Unlike with many pc motherboards, there is no heat distribution plate to help cool the drive down. I’d stay with spec on this one and protect your ps5 in the long run.
Q: Can it be installed on a PC? I have a nvme M2 adapter, will this drive fit?
A: It should fit. I used it in my gen 3 slot without issue.
