Western Digital - WD Elements 320GB External USB 2.0 Portable Hard Drive

I purchased this to backup all work documents, pictures, movies, etc. The ease of use was essential for me as my co-workers depend on me to guide them as well. I will purchase a second one for home.

I used this drive to store all my files for my ipod. I did back it up but haven't in a few months. I did not expect it to die so soon. As a result I will lose some files and feel I pretty much wasted the money I spent on it as it was not reliable. The drive will not only not register on my pc anymore, the Best Buy Geek Squad said it was dead when they tried it on their computers. It died for no apparant reason as I never dropped it. Any recommendations as a replacement product?

I bought this hard drive because it wasn't too expensive, but now I know that it was not worth it's good price. It worked fine for the first few days, but now no matter what I do, my computer won't recognize it. I plug it in and it doesn't register. I know it's not my computer because other similar devices work fine. Basically, it's completely worthless to me now because I can't access any of the files that are on it.

Worked With WD before, no probs. this is as good if not better.

Great Product. I use it to transfer files fro my PC to several Laptops. Easy to use.
