Q: Does this work with Alexa?

A: YES! it does.

Q: Is it compatible with 5GHZ WIFI? Most or these need 2.4GHZ.

A: It REALLY likes 2.4, you can make it work on 5, but must configure each bulb in dividually, by using an installation network which mimics 2.4. I was able to get this to work once, failed the second time, changed to a mesh network, works great on that. Good Luck.

Q: Pertaining to all smart bulbs, they say wifi compatible, and google & siri...etc but do you have to be on wifi? Can it just be operated by your phone app/phone data? And what if you don't have service? You can't control the light bulb/ it just shuts off?

A: Yes you need your WiFi to control smart bulbs through voice command or app. Without wifi smart bulb will become the same as a non smart bulb.

Q: How does the voice control work?

A: Voice control for this item works when you hook it up to an assistant like Alexa or Google Home for example. Basically, you make an account for both and then add the ability for Alexa or Google to control the lights by signing into your Wiz account on the app used to set up your assistant.

Q: What kind of lifespan does this bulb have? It costs a bit more than a regular lightbulb and with the computer bits in it I feel bad throwing it away sooner/at the same time as a regular bulb.

A: It comes with a 3 year limited warranty. 25,000 hrs of ON time

Q: Does this work with alexa?

A: The packaging says yes, so I'm going to say yes. I used Google Assistant.

Q: Does it keep charge and stays on in the event of power outage.

A: no, no power storing capabilities. I'm sure eventually that type of feature will be available in their bulbs, I know they are available by different brands.

Q: Can this bulb be used as outside porch light?

A: Yes, most certainly
