A: I believe I device should pair with 'blue tooth' and the other device using the USB transmitter this would work. I have 2 MS Windows computers set up this way. The Mac, in the mix, may not play nice. Keys near the number pad switch the devices.
A: No, it's a different technology than the orange unifying receiver. This one uses a new "Logi Bolt receiver", but you can still connect it via bluetooth with most devices.

This is replacing both my Keychron K3 v2 (brown switch) and my original MX Keyboard. I liked that Keychron required no software, however the battery life was only 2 days and Bluetooth was a hit and miss. I kept going back to my original MX Keyboard which I have nothing bad to say for that item. Now on to the MX Mechanical (Clicky). The battery life on this is amazing! It’s just like the MX Keyboard if not better. The Clicky\Blue is the loudest of the three; and trust me, you wouldn’t want this one in a quiet office environment. But I have this at home, so the noise doesn’t bother me at all. Personally, I just love the feel of blue switches over the reds. Browns indeed is a happy medium between the two and would have opted for that if I cared about noise and\or was in an office environment. The build quality of the frame is top notch. There I no flex to it. Backlit is very useable (though when lit, the numbers\letters\characters looked sharper on the original MX Keys – this may be due to the keys being further away from the LED on the Mechanical though) The key themselves are quite nice, though for whatever reason the original MX Keyboard has a more premium feel as you type. This is probably due to the slight wobble that slim mechanical keys usually have as I’ll describe below The only negative I can think of is that the keys are just a tad bit wobbly due to the small size of the actual switches and low profile keys (my Keychron K3 is also as slim, but has brown switches that covered the whole area making the keys firm in place). Also, it’s a finger print magnet, like my MX Master 2s mouse, MX Keyboard, and an old Logitech G keyboard I had, I’m sure these keys will shine over time. I just hope Logitech makes replaceable keys in the future (if they are not already available) While this doesn’t matter\affect the product any, my local stores only had Brown switch and those come in colored boxes (YouTube unboxing videos shows colored boxes as well). So I had to order the Clicky one at Best Buy online site; my keyboard came in a generic cardboard Logitech box, which I usually see these types of boxes used with “refurbished” items; but don’t worry, rest assured that it’s a new product. FYI – I still have the old MX Master 2s mouse and I need to use both Unify and Bolt receiver (Good news is that only one Logi-Software is needed to make adjustments for both devices). The Unify receiver will not work with Bolt devices and Bolt receiver will not work with Unify devices. I wish Best Buy would carry the graphite MX Master 3s mouse (they only have black and white) to take advantage of reward points and $15 bundle saving the sometimes have. Only Amazon or Logitech website carries the matching MX Master 3s Graphite color.

So I got the “clicky” switch. I had been hesitant to go with this switch for this keyboard because I was worried it would be too loud, but it’s not loud at all and VERY satisfying to click. I type more because of this keyboard makes typing enjoyable. It connects to all 3 of my Devices and switches between them seamlessly. I would have gotten the mini instead but the full aize has a dedicated screen brightness button and it’s so convenient that im never going back. Having the number pad is a cool bonus. Just with it came in white like the mini now does.

I'm so glad I switched to a mechanical keyboard. Compact so it takes up a minimal amount of space. I don't miss the cable. Wireless is freedom. Keys are quiet. Best keyboard I've owned.
