A: Sub works great. It uses a merged signal from left and right stereo signals and not a dedicated sub signal. Thus not 2.1

A: Tidal is a sub option on TV interface as well as the Phone app. Sits under the “net” section with Pandora and Tunein. Can also get to it on receiver using display and remote if you want to run without screens.

A: Yes, this will support Amazon Alexa.
Q: Do i have to use a subwoofer or will my front (a) speakers have plenty of bass without one
A: It depends on your speakers. This will supply full range audio. If your speakers are able to produce the low bass frequencies then it may be enough. This is a personal preference.
