Q: I dont have steering wheel controls. Do I still need this one or is there another model? 09 Wrangler
A: We have an 08 Wrangler and had to have this.
A: I have a 2012 Grand Cherokee and it held all of the steering wheel controls. The only thing is for me on the left side of wheel my middle button would cycle thru favorites in order. But with this it cycles randomly thru my favorites. But everything else’s works. I did have Best Buy install it.
Q: Is this required for a 2014 RAM Tradesman with no steering wheel controls?
A: Some vehicles with factory radios require it even if they do not have steering wheel controls. It is the easiest way to connect factory harness to aftermarket radios or you would have to cut, splice and connect wires without harness connectors and it might not even work. My son's 2014 Jeep Patriot required it to install a Pioneer stereo I bought for him.
