Magic Trackpad is wireless and rechargeable, and it includes the full range of Multi-Touch gestures and Force Touch technology. Sensors underneath the trackpad surface detect subtle differences in the amount of pressure you apply, bringing more functionality to your fingertips and enabling a deeper connection to your content. It features a large edge-to-edge glass surface area, making scrolling and swiping through your favorite content more productive and comfortable than ever.
Q: What is the track pad used for?
A: I use it for editing photos and pictures, Its just a giant pad that can replace a mouse or the trackpad on your laptop.
A: The Apple wireless keyboard slopes downward toward the desk surface. The trackpad also slopes downward, with the back of the trackpad being raised up about a 1/4" higher in back than in front, so it's not going to be a seamless transition from keyboard to trackpad like on a MacBook, nor is the Magic Trackpad flat like on a MacBook. The bottom edge of the keyboard will be lower than the top edge of the trackpad. Because of that, I think you would have a tendency to be hitting the trackpad with your palms when typing. It's really designed to be off to either the right or left side of a keyboard, not directly underneath it. The slope angle of the new Apple Magic Keyboard and Magic Trackpad is the same, so they will align perfectly side-by-side.
Q: Can you use this with a new 24” iMac? I am not a fan of the Magic Mouse.
A: yes its bluetooth
Q: Is this the Apple Magic Trackpad 2?
A: It’s the latest trackpad. They got rid of the number.
A: It works well with mine which is an early 2015 MacBook Pro
Q: Can you use this with an ipad with the m1 chip?
A: Yes! I'm currently using it now. Works great.
A: It will charge either from the laptop or from outlet. As long as it's connected. You will need a USB c charger to use in power outlet.
