Quality4 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5Bought a Dell XPS 13" 2-in-1 Touchscreen laptop from a competing store. This unit was, oddly enough, under powered, despite its i7 processor. Why? That i7 was only running at 1.3 GHz. My antivirus wants a minimum of 1.5. Plus, the keyboard felt odd, I didn't know if it was that hardware or the AV which caused a delay in keystroke recognition, the unit was actually kind of noisy when trying to play music softly, and I hated the dongle game I had to play because of the unit's three ports: one audio jack, and two USB-Cs. Returned it to that other shop. Then came an HP - ENVY x360 2-in-1 13.3" Touch-Screen Laptop, which my wife thought was pretty. I ordered it, read and saw some reviews trashing it before it came in, then, when it did come in, promptly returned it without opening. Okay, back to Dell, a 14" Inspiron 2-in-1 with a stylus *and* a stylus holder built into the case! It looked great but always had a noisy fan running, and had a lame, not dead, key right out of the box. This thing behaved like it was slapped together, so back THAT one went, too. So now, this ASUS - 14" 2-in-1 Touch-Screen Laptop - Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory - 512GB Solid State Drive - Gun Gray. I like the keyboard. The fan doesn't run endlessly. Its i7 is 1.8 GHz. It includes an NVIDIA GPU although(!!!) that doesn't run all the time by design. See the following thread for why: https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?56672-Use-Nvidia-for-Laptop-Display-instead-of-Intel. Its touchpad also has a built-in numeric keypad feature. Another review of this unit was posted and it's accurate although I like all the ports this unit carries. (It's too soon for *only* USB-C; wait a year or more.) The display hinge is sort of tight but at least I haven't gotten HP wobble. The unit's weight is distributed evenly, making it feel lighter than a MacBook Air. It's keyboard feels great. The display is better than the first Dell I returned. The speakers are harmon/kardon and just plain sound good. Um.... I bought this on sale which makes it a decent buy. ( ̄ー ̄)b

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5First off, I want to say that this laptop has been fantastic. When I ordered it I was not sure what to expect. As other reviewers have mentioned, this is a Best Buy only model so, there aren't many reviews to go off of. I will cover battery life, performance, screen quality, and keyboard and track pad. I will also discuss some of the laptops I crossed shopped with this one. It should also be known that my previous laptop was a Dell XPS 13 2015 model. Build Quality: The laptop's build is excellent with a black aluminum body. The laptop feel very sturdy and of great quality; the design is also very sleek and attractive. Battery Life: I am a college student so I am on my laptop a ton. I currently have about 40 tabs and a few other applications open (doing research for finals). With this type of usage I am getting about 10 to 12hrs of use; I have yet to experience the laptop dying before the end of the day. Performance: Performance has been excellent, the face unlock is super quick. I have experienced no lag during my usage. The 10th gen processor paired with the 16gb of ram and the MX250 gpu has had no issue with what I have thrown at it. Screen: The screen quality is excellent, it is a 1080p panel but I have no complaints. The screen gets pretty bright for my liking and should be bright enough in most outdoor scenarios. Keyboard & trackpad: The keyboard is pretty good with this laptop, there was some adjustment for me because, I moved from a Dell XPS 13 to this laptop which is a decent amount bigger (although it still fits in my 13in laptop sleeve). Trackpad is excellent and the number pad feature is responsive although I haven't had to use it often. Laptops I crossed Shopped between were the HP Envy 13T, HP Spectre X360, Lenovo X1 Carbon, and the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1. I ultimately decided on this laptop because it was substantially cheaper than many of the mentioned laptops and it came with the newest processor, dedicated graphics, 16gb of ram, and 512gb of storage. I put similar specs on some of the mentioned laptops and the price was close to $1500! I got this one on sell for just over $800. I recommend this laptop and go for a geek squad certified open box to save a few bucks. I did, and got a practically brand new laptop. The only con is that shipping could take a little longer.

Quality3 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use3 out of 5Overall the product is good but a few verified purchases say that there is a pen in the box but I didn't find any pen. Also the response numberpad function on trackpad is too sensitive, suddenly turns on for no reason and doesn't turn off properly. Other than these the display is really good, 4k videos were crisp. and the simple games are running fine too.

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I travel for work often and have specific needs for my laptop. I wanted something that was powerful, yet light weight and easily fit into my backpack. I use this laptop to run presentations and videos at shows. So I also wanted a dedicated hdmi port so that I wouldn’t have to rely on adapters. The presenters on my show always need last minute video editing, so I wanted a dedicated graphics card that could handle editing with Adobe Premiere (hard to find in a 14’ laptop). I previously had only used Dells for work, but lately they’ve been letting me down. I went to BBY and explained my needs. The sales rep took me right to this Asus. I’ve never owned an Asus so I’m not familiar with the brand. I had a show coming up in a few days and it was the only small sized laptop that had all the specs I needed. So I took a chance. This machine did not let me down. It performed flawlessly. I’m very impressed with this laptop. The only compliant I have is I’m not a fan of the MyAsus app for computer updates. You have to physically download each update and install it manually. If you aren’t technically savvy then that could be a problem. I also would love to have a standard sized SD card reader instead of a micro SD reader, but I may be asking too much :)

Quality4 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Nice size and weight coming from a 15" laptop. The new light up touch number pad is just OK. I expected better, and this is why I purchased this laptop. I wanted a smaller laptop, but of course you sacrifice your number pad. I use this for work and constantly need to access these numbers, and it was not responsive enough to the touch, and within a week ordered a number pad. I though I could get use to the touch numbers, and this would never work especially for accounting. Also, not so easy to open the lid! It's like there's nothing to grab on to. Overall I'm happy with my device.

Quality4 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5Pros mentioned:Battery life, Display, FeaturesSo first off. This is a Best Buy only model. While that isn't bad or good, if you are searching for reviews then you won't find any because it is specific only to BBY and ASUS doesn't send it out to popular tech sites to review. However, this is basically a ASUS Flip 14 (UX463FL) if you want to check out some reviews on a similar PC. I've done a bunch of research on this and the only difference that I can see is 1) Color and 2) this laptop does not have "ScreenPad 2.0" which is a small screen in the track pad that lets you do stuff and watch videos on the mouse pad and switch applications. Otherwise all the specs are 100% identical. So first, the stuff I like: 1) Specs are great. For this price a 16GB/512GB laptop with any sort of graphics is pretty impressive. It also has BlueTooth 5 and WiFi 6 2) The screen is nice. Easy to see and very clear. It is the same size as a 13 inch laptop but the bezels are smaller so ASUS was able to fit 14 inches of screen into it 3) Lots of ports for anything you need 4) Keyboard is pleasant to type on and when you open the screen it elevates the keyboard slightly. If you need a more aggressive angle you'll have to find a work around for it. 5) Performance is snappy 6) back lit keyboard 7) the track pad has a number keypad on it and you can type numbers into it if needed. Not sure how useful it is but to me it shows that ASUS is still trying to innovate. 8) build quality seems solid. No complaints so far. Here are some of the things I DON'T like about this laptop. Granted some are small but I'm going to point them out anyway. 1) the charging cable. Why do I have to get a new cable every time I purchase a new computer? USB-C is now the standard so can we please please please start using that? (Also, the USB-C port will not charge the laptop. I tried. 2) There is your normal bunch of MicroSoft and ASUS bloatware installed. But it really isn't that bad. But still, bloatware is always a negative to me 3) The dude at BBY didn't know much about this model. He insisted that it had that ScreenPad thing in it and it clearly does not. My point is that you are pretty much on your own for questions and research other than comparing it to the previously mentioned model in the first part of my review. Here are some things that I wanted to know but had a hard time finding out 1) The USB-C will not charge the Laptop 2) the USB-C can not be used for video output. Finally, I ran NovaBench on this for some basic performance scores. Overall: 1546 CPU: 825 RAM: 256 GPU: 379 Disk: 86. Hope this helps. Also, best I can tell, if you have some knowledge of doing computer work yourself, the SSD looks to be able to be removed and increased. Not sure about the RAM though. Good luck.

Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5So far, this is a great laptop. I am not fond of laptops because of the keyboards are normally extremely sensitive. Not, with this machine, the keyboard is awesome. The touch pad is large and I have to get used to the number pad option on the touch pad. The added feature is that it is a 2 and 1 device. I originally was in the market for a surface pro or samsung book. Glad I was patient, because I saved a lot of money and I have the ports that I wanted on a device.

Quality4 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:Battery life, Display, FeaturesWanted something that was good for students, it's good battery life ,screen is nice , and nice large touchpad. Light made if metal and make it feel very premium. It is i7, however it's a comet lake cpu but still very good with them being so fined tuned now. The specs you get for this price and build quality are superb, Asus delivers once again for those on a budget. I must say the only thing I don't like is the lack of thunderbolt 3 port, not a deal breaker but it would of been great, probably how they keep down the price. It does come with a pen in the box.
