We've found AT&T phones to be much more intuitive than Panasonics, and this phone is a great example. It was super easy to setup. All four handset units share the same directory and CallerID history. The handsets are small and light and very much like cell phones in their layout, which makes them intuitive. All four handsets are numbered and you can intercom to a specific handset very easily. But the biggest highlight is the speakerphone in each handset -- it's the best I've heard in a cordless phone -- so good that callers could barely tell you are on a speakerphone, and good enough that you can use it in place of a headset.
The only cons are that the headset jack is a tad tight, and my wife was a little confused by the message playback options (though I wasn't).
Another winner AT&T phone unit -- worth the price (especially when you get four handsets).

Purchased ATT DECT phones from BB for 99.99. Best phones we have ever had. Clarity is excellent, easy to setup and use. Intercom is a great feature when contacting other people in house, e.g. when I am in basement and need to get someone's attention in bedroom. Speakerphone works great, and ability to move around house, and outside of house, without any degradation is wonderful. Strongly recommend this product. We went from a household of hodge-podge, mis-matched phones, where none really worked that well.

I have had this phone about a week and have found it to be an excellent phone. It has excellent reception, loud volume, and a great speaker phone. I found the build and look to be excellent. My only real complaints would be that the handset bases are kind of bulky, and that in the dark, when the lcd light is off, the handset screen window looks cloudy. The answering machine could be better as well, but it is sufficient.

Best Phone System Ever!!!!

This phone system lives up to the reviews and deserves all 5 stars!
We love having four handsets and the luxury of having one in the rooms that we want a phone. They are perfect size even for someone like me with big hands. Call-waiting & caller ID are essential features with the ability to access or delete missed calls from each handset. The availability of speakerphone and intercom functionality between handsets is great. The blue-lighted display, backlit keypad and ringtones are very appealing.
The digital answering system is very high quality as far as audible clarity along with time and date stamp. It is easy to use with options to delete message during playback and skipping to the next message.
Last and probably the main reason we bought this system is the 6.0 digital technology which doesn't interfere with our wireless computer network. Also, the signal range and quality are amazing.
We lover our new phone system and highly recommend this incredible technology to anyone!

* The Ease of Use
* The Range
* The Speaker phone
* Plus, I love how you can page another handset. This is great for getting someone's attention in another part of the house or outside.
* Their really is no downside to this product and when you factor in the price its almost too good to be true.

Best of 4 phones we tested

We tested 4 DECT 6.0 phones side-by-side until we found one we liked.
GE 28110EE2
Phillips CD 445 Duo
Uniden 2080-3
ATT SL82408
The GE, Phillips and Uniden all had a terrible speaker in the base unit answering machine. Words were not distinct and the volume could not be adjusted loud enough to hear across the room. The Uniden had an intuitive menu system and one button playback of messages. We found the orange screen and slim font style difficult to read. The Phillips had a nice blue screen and large font but the menu system was not intuitive and it took 3 button presses to paly back messages. The ATT DECT 6.0 phone has an excellent speaker. Very clear and volume can be adjusted sufficiently. It also has a blue screen whihc is easy on the eyes and the menu system is easy to understand. It costs significantly more than the other three but it provides the best quality and features. It also comes with 4 handsets.

Clearly the Best phone package out there. Dect 6.0 digital technology and 4 (count em), 4 handsets. A phone wherever you need one, kitchen, living room, bedroom, and office. Unbelievable for the price. I found mine on sale for just under $100. Easy to use, easy to set-up. Speakerphone clarity is awesome, most can't tell if I'm on speakerphone or not. Range is excellent as well, in the basement, on the deck, or at the neighbors, just super. AT & T has a winner !!!!!

I have had my system for less than a week, but I'm very pleased with it's operation. Very simple to setup and record your message announcements. I especially like the ability to use multi-handsets (two) to speak to outside callers. And the speaker ability in each handset makes the system more flexible. The ability to "intercom" between handsets is very useful around the house.
For the price, I don't think you can go wrong.
