Q: If the RC displays the cameras view why would you use a smartphone with it?
A: Using a smartphone/tablet shows more information on a larger, easier to see screen.
Q: Do the rotor blades always show up on video or is there a way to eliminate this quark?
A: When the camera gimbal is tilted up you will typically see the rotor blades when flying aggressively forward. You can easily adjust the gimbal or fly less aggressively and avoid seeing the props at all.
Q: What’s the payload capacity? And is it capable of recording audio ?
A: The EVO is not designed/engineered to carry any payload. It has everything built in like Camera and sensors.
A: Yes that is correct you get what is listed
Q: this drone can fly with no restrictions ????
A: That is correct, but you do get a message on the screen warning you if you are in a Do Not Fly zone, they trust you to be responsible and not fly in an area that you are not allowed in or beyond limits (altitude, etc.).
Q: Does this drone run off of WIFI ?
A: its a type of wifi just like dji occusync is a type of wifi. Most people that aren't dji fan boys are already saying that Autels transmission system for video and rc are occusync 2 or better. Autel evo 2 is the farthest fastest and longest flying drone atm july 4 2020
A: NO
A: The company (Autel Robotics) is an off-shoot of Autel which is based in China and makes automotive diagnostic equipment. Autel Robotics and all of the support for it's quadcopters is in Bothell, Washington but the quadcopter is assembled in China.
