Q: QuestionWe need to replace our Bosch custom panel dishwasher. It has two pieces to the custom panel and the repair tech said to make sure the new model wiill accept a two piece panel. Does this model accept two piece custom panels? Old model is SHV46CO3UC/14.
Asked by Custom.
- A:Answer The panel is attached by screws on far sides of door. If your panels each are full width, then screws can be screwed in, even if you need to add a couple of holes. If they don't reach edges to the left and right, you could buy a thin piece of plywood, cut to full front door measurements and attach to plywood first. If you do this, you may need to move dishwasher further back by the width of plywood. Would suggest thinnest plywood if you need to go this route. Always make sense if you are not handy with wood to have a knowledgeable person look at for you.

Q: QuestionCan I use a round knob(about 2" dia) that will match the rest of my kitchen cabinets as handle to open the dishwasher or does it have to be a bar handle?
Asked by sunflower.
- A:Answer the dishwasher does not come with a faceplate or handle, only with mounting hardware. The door handle/knob will attach to your own faceplate, that you will need to provide. You can attach any kind of handle to your faceplate that you like, so a knob will work. Just the screw for your handle/knob needs to be flush with the plate on the mounting side.

Q: QuestionI have a custom panel ordered. Do I also need a toe-kick? Or is that included (our old custom panel dishwasher has a metal toe kick built in)
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Think it's pretty weird that Best Buy can't answer these questions...but...there's a rubber sound dampening piece that hangs down in the area of the toe kick and mine came with the black metal toe kick installed BEHIND the rubber piece. Installer didn't know that and thought I didn't have one so they ordered one and when arrived to install found it behind the black rubber piece. Then the black rubber piece just slips into the top of the toe kick and slightly drapes.
