Almost perfect counter top microwave
||Posted .I bought the Breville Quick Touch 1.2 cu ft microwave because of excellent reviews. It replaced a Panasonic that lasted only three years. The price was almost the same even though the Panasonic microwave was the more advanced unit. What I like about the Breville is that the door opens by pulling the door handle rather than pushing a button. The 30 second button operates with one touch as opposed to the Panasonic which requires pushing two buttons. The choices on the display panel are more useful and simple to use. On the downside, when I cook food at settings other than high I hear it cycling on and off. I believe this means that cooking at medium, for example, is the result of the unit cooking at high 50% of the time and not cooking during the other 50%. The Panasonic cooks at a true medium. The Breville design is basic looking retro. So far I am very pleased with the unit. Whether it was good decision depends in good part on how long it lasts.

Very Pleased
||Posted .After doing a lot of research we chose the Breville over the Panasonic because of features, even though it was more expensive. We were particularly interested in the sensor. So far, the microwave has performed as expected and results have been perfect. I own many Breville products and continue to purchase most of my electronics from Best Buy. In this case, all reviews indicate a small percentage of manufacturing defective units and so we took out Geek Squad repair insurance just in case. We have been very happy so far.

Best Microwave
||Posted .After two failed microwaves, I decided to do more research to determine which microwave would best suit my needs, and got the best reviews. Time and again, the Breville was in the forefront. I’ve had this microwave a few months now, and absolutely love it. Easy to operate, love the door handle to open rather than a push to open. It’s not as noisy as other microwaves, and seems to stay cleaner longer. Water for a cup of tea boils in 1 min. 50 sec. Great other features. I would highly recommend the Breville! 1.2 cu ft. midsize microwave.

Pricy, but worth it....
||Posted .When our last microwave died (Kenmore Elite), I was all set to buy a new Panasonic based on the feedback and reviews. However, my wife recently had purchased the Breville Toaster Oven, so I decided to look at their Micro as well (since the toaster oven sits on the microwave). So, yes, aesthetics was the first driving factor. And it is very good looking for a kitchen appliance. If you have a full stainless kitchen, then this is going to be important as so many look cheap with a mix of black glass/plastic and stainless. This machine is simple and elegant and nearly all SS. So, next on to the specs. This machine was a bit smaller than the one it replaced, but it is plenty large enough for our family and needs. The sensor heat works great. The popcorn setting works better than the old machine (not all corns pop, but no burnt ones!). Easy to clean. Pretty to look at. Tons of features. We are happy and would recommend.

Can't beat the Breville brand!
||Posted .This is my third small appliance from Breville and I am pleased with the quality and performance of all of them. This is not the largest microwave on the market or the most powerful but it performs better than some other big name brands that I have bought in the last 5 years, each of which only lasts about 12-18 months. The Breville functions are configured differently than most microwaves but they are intuitive and once you learn them you'll wonder why other manufacturers don't adopt a similar organization. The best part is the display, it is large and very easy to read in any lighting!

Very good but not great.
||Posted .I'm used to using my 20 year old countertop microwave and had hoped that my new Breville would far surpass it in quality. It almost gets there but not quite. It looks great and all the functions seem to work as intended. I thought it might take some time to get used to the dial controls but that hasn't presented a problem. What I did notice is that it doesn't seem to have the power that my older microwave had. On a couple of occasions, pot pie for instance, I've had to increase the cook time over what the package recommends which has always worked before. Maybe I just need to take more time to get used to it. I would recommend it as it's well made and, for the most part, seems to work well.

Love this Microwave
||Posted .I purchased a different microwave & returned it ~ didn't stay in my house for 24 hours. This one has everything I want & more including "a bit more" button, add 30 seconds, a menu you can scroll through and do everything from melt butter to warming leftovers or cooking veggies, even has an oatmeal option, etc. This one I have been using for almost a month and no way is it going back!
