- A: AnswerUnfortunately the Brother MFCJ4335DW machine is not automated duplex scanning or copying. This model has the B&W print only option. The "B&W Print Only - Replace Ink" message means that one or more of your color ink cartridges have reached the end of its life. While "B&W Print Only - Replace Ink" appears on the screen, you can continue to use your machine in the following ways: 1. You can always scan to PC or media even if your machine displays "Replace Ink." 2. Based on your printing volume and page coverage, you can print up to four (4) weeks in B&W mode. 3. You'll be able to receive and print B&W faxes. If you're sent a color fax, the machine will convert the face and print it in black and white. 4. You won't be able to print on photo paper or other special media during B&W mode. Only plain paper can be used. 5. Place the machine in Grayscale mode via the print driver to ensure you can continue to print documents.

- A: AnswerThe LCD screen takes a bit of practice to get the hang of. Basically, the default shows you the alphabet...but using the arrows, you can to move the cursor down to that bottom rt choice where you toggle through the choices of alpha, numbers, or symbols. You can change lower to upper case using that bottom left button. It's like texting on an old nokia phone without t9 function, lol. Keep pressing the key until you get the one you are going for. Remember to pay attention to where the cursor is. That is what will determine what happens when you toggle. To back up, you have to move over to the < symbol. To delete move over to the delete symbol, etc. However, to avoid all of that-- I went to the support.brother.com device setup website instead, registered, got a temp PW, and then changed it from the computer to my permanent one. Much simpler.

- A: Answeri have just checked with a Mac expert and he confirmed that OS 14 is not High Sierra, it is Mojave. it does not help to get the wrong information especially for those of us who are trusting that you know the printer and mac operating systems. and i asked about the installation procedure. i understand that the cable can be used to print but what about the installation of the printer. do you need to use a smartphone and wifi to connect the printer initially? Thanks.

- A: AnswerYES. If I haven't used the printer for a few days the print gets garbled. The "normal" cleaning process fixes it. The printer cleans itself periodically but apparently that's not enough to avoid the clogging. I love the printer but this is a problem. I'm nearing the end of my first set of ink cartridges so I'll see what happens after I replace them.

Finally a stress free and reliable printer!
It was so hard to find a reliable, easy to use printer. This printer has been nothing but great since installation. Stays connected, prints, scans, and emails easily! The only thing is, it sounds aggressive when it grabs that first sheet of paper to print. Other than that, it’s been perfect.

Money saver!
After alot of research on a suitable printer i found that this was the best option for me , it's contain a more than a year of ink included also the ink is cheap , if you have kids in the school this is one of the best options it's really money saver.
