  • Features
    • Hard Food Disposer: true (This feature has blades to chop and disintegrate hard food particles, making them small enough to easily drain away. This prevents them from being recirculated back onto dishware and allows for easy maintenance.)
    • Drying Method: Heated drying (Appliances that use heat to dry the dishes will include a heating element or minerals which transform moisture into heat. A fan or vent then circulates the hot dry air throughout the tub during the drying cycle. This may reduce drying time and the risk of water spots. Appliances that use minerals to produce heat are considered more energy efficient than those that include a heating element. Appliances that use condensation drying are considered more energy efficient than those that use heated drying. Instead, high temperature water is produced during the final rinse cycle which warms the interior and eventually condensates and drains out of the machine.)
    • Operating Sound Level: 39 decibels adjusted (Today's appliances are pretty quiet. To get a sense for how quiet you'll need, think about having a conversation in the same room. • End-Of-Cycle Signal: true (An audible alert and/or visual indicator that notifies you when a pre-selected cycle is complete.)
    • Cycle Status Lights: true (Lights on the control panel that indicate which cycle is in use and/or its current status. Know when to unload with a simple glance.)
    • Child Lock: true (Setting that allows appliance to be temporarily locked to prevent use.)
    • Filtered Water: true (Internal water filter(s) remove minerals and chemicals from hard water before the wash cycle. Filtered water is less likely to leave mineral deposits or stains, meaning your dishware will look cleaner for longer.)
    • Water Soil Sensor: true (Feature that measures how dirty the water is throughout the wash cycle and adjusts the energy and water usage as needed. This can increase washing efficiency and may reduce energy costs.)
    • Wireless Connectivity: Wi-Fi (The manner in which a device sends data to another device over a short distance without the use of wires or cables.)

Q: I have 4 questions: One reviewer mentioned having to run hot water before running this machine- is that true? Do you have to use an additive (like JetDry) for this machine to run? Is there a time-remaining display? Where is the steam vent?

A: I own this and do not run hot water before running the machine. Yes you have to use JetDry or dishes will not be clear. Yes there is a time remaining display. I don’t know where or what the steam vent is? I don’t see any steam unless I open the door.

Q: Is there an option to choose the finish of the door handle? On the manufacturer website the ability to choose the finish color, and handle finish is available. I see that Matte white is available for a finish color, but can i choose the handle as well?

A: Hi Jesse - Thanks for considering Café™ Model CDT875P4NW2! The Matte White Café™ Customizable Professional Collection comes equipped with Brushed Bronze hardware. On nearly every piece in the Café Customizable Professional Collection, you have the option to change your hardware to a different finish. Optional Handle Kits Brushed Copper CXADTH1PMCU, Brushed Black CXADTH1PMBT and Brushed Stainless CXADTH1PMSS are sold separately. Q: This dishwasher was mounted flush to the cabinets. Is this why I have water dripping on the controls between the counter and dishwasher.??? Can I lower the legs so it is not so close to undernearh and making droplets. ??? Please advise.

A: Hello there - We're sorry to hear you're experiencing some condensation on the controls of your dishwasher, and we'd like to help however we can. Q: This model is supposed to have interior lights, how doo you get them to turn on

A: Hello there - We apologize for the confusion, but this dishwasher model does not have interior lights. If you have any additional questions, let us know. Kind regards. Julia@Cafe

Q: what water temperature is reached during the rinse cycle

A: Hey there - that’s a great question! Water temperature ranges between 120°F-150°F depending on the cycle selected. For the highest temperature rinse, select the “Sanitize” option which is certified to reduce 99.999% of bacteria on dishes. Sanitation is achieved using a high-temperature rinse that is designed to meet NSF 184 Residential standards. To meet NSF Residential (National Sanitation Foundation) requirements, the dishwasher will run until the water temperature inside the dishwasher reaches approximately 150 degrees Fahrenheit. To learn more, search for the article titled “Dishwasher - Sanitization Cycle” on our GE Appliances website in the “Support” section. We hope this helps in your decision making and please feel free to reach out anytime if you have additional questions. Have a wonderful day! Lauren@Café

Q: Do i need a vent on my sink or anywhere else for this dishwasher?

A: 0pp's! I stand corrected, upon checking my sink this morning I discovered that I do indeed have a sink vent and it is connected.

Q: There is some steam coming off the top of the dishwasher. Is this normal? Is there a way to turn it off? My main concern about this is my kitchen cabinets because I think having hot steam on it will cause major damage.

A: Marilyn, did your installer attach the black trim pieces in Step 11 of the installation instructions? The people BestBuy sent to install ours did not and I had to demand they return to complete the installation properly. Even then I had to do some of the work myself because the installer didn't know what he was doing. You really should not be having steam vent from the top during operation.

Q: How long is the quickest cycle?

A: Seems like 2.5hrs
